Located in Historic Downtown Freehold, Aarzu Modern Indian Bistro presents an exceptional upscale dining experience.
Modern Indian cuisine is making rapid strides. Today, it has moved beyond the realms of fusion gourmet. At Aarzu, we are taking the Indian cuisine out of the butter chicken and curry circle. The focus is on taste, texture and presentation. While the cooking method remains the same, our recipes involve diverse elements and unique food pairings with presentation being the focal point.     Have been going to this place since they opened long time ago. Always fresh, delicious and imaginative food. By far the best Indian restaurant I've visited. Consistently perfect.

    Everything was wonderful! I don’t often have Indian food, but this was delicious. Everything was tasty and Had good spice levels. The place was beautifull and had a nice chill vibe to it. Even our stuff was super helpful with the menu and with the descriptions of the food. Will definitely be coming back

    The ambiance was good, amazing place for couple and family dinners. Taste was incredible. Portion of the dishes was little small. But overall a great experience.

    Had a great experience. Food was as usual very nice, presentation was great and the overall ambiance of Aarzu had always been nice. Glad that they have maintained their standard all these years.

    Aarzu is our favorite Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, and the presentation is an elevated experience. The restaurant is BYOB, and we always bring our own wine. We opened with an appetizer of Duck Paratha Tacos. It's their take on Peking Duck. Three small soft tacos are presented with duck in a spicy Hoison style sauce with slivers of cucumber and scallion. It's the perfect portion for two people. The duck is moist and flavorful. It's our favorite appetizer on the menu. For entrees, my wife and I decided to try something new. She had the Zafrani Murg. It consisted of charred chicken breast in a sauce of cashews and saffron. I opted for the Lamb Chop Kheema, two perfectly grilled lamb chops served with a "sauce" of minced lamb. The lamb chops were moist and flavorful. The minced lamb was spicy and delicious. We ordered some Butter Naan to sop up the sauces. The dishes were served with a bowl of rice. The portions were large, and we took home some of the minced lamb, the chicken and some rice. For dessert we opted for the Rasmalai and the Orange Rind Kulfi. The Rasmalai consisted of 3 discs of cheese topped with rose petals, pistachio, and sauce. The plate was served over a bowl of dry ice which made for a pretty presentation. The Orange Rind Kulfi consisted of 4 segments of orange rind that were stuffed with the Kulfi ice cream. Both desserts were outstanding.
