Built around a custom wood-burning oven and featuring stunning panoramic views of the Potomac River, Ada's on the River draws inspiration from the ingenuity of Ada Lovelace, one of the greatest mathematicians of the 19th century.                                                                                   We had a terrific time at Ada's On the River. The waiter was engaging and helpful, the food was fabulous, and the table was looking out from inside. While we started off poorly, waiting 20 minutes for our table although we were on time, the rest of the meal was simply lovely.

                                                                                  We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ada’s. We sat outside. They had heaters when it got cool. Our server Alex was impeccable. Every TV ing we ate was delicious.

                                                                                  My giant crab cake was fabulous, and wife’s roast chicken was, she said, the best she’s had in a LONG while. Our waiter, Sam, was ok top of his game, and his birthday gift for wife Sara (a raspberry coulis) was the perfect capstone to a very special evening.

                                                                                  Service was top notch and the outdoor seating are was gorgeous. The food was mostly delicious if a little bit tiny on the portion size. The entrees in particular were what I would consider expensive for the amount of food. The wine pour was generous and the overall experience very good. We will be back.

                                                                                  The diverse dishes on the menu (esp. the vegetable sides) were quite interesting. The venue/ambience are nice, too. So much of the food we received was charred/blackened, which was quite concerning as it not only exposes consumers to carcinogens, but it led to waste for us since so much of the chicken, carrots, etc., couldn't be eaten. The oysters seemed to consist mostly of cheese, which was not fully clear in the menu; I didn't expect each shell to be fully coated in melted cheese.
