Built around a custom wood-burning oven and featuring stunning panoramic views of the Potomac River, Ada's on the River draws inspiration from the ingenuity of Ada Lovelace, one of the greatest mathematicians of the 19th century.     An homage to 19th-century mathematician Ada Lovelace, Ada’s offers panoramic Potomac River views and features wood-fired prime steaks, fresh seafood and vegetarian fare. ‍ The 260-seat restaurant includes 160 indoor seats, including a 32-seat private dining room, and 100 seats on the outdoor patio. The stylish interior provides a warm, modern feel with 15-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and inviting booth seating.                                                                                   When we made the reservation, they asked if we were celebrating something. I noted that it was our wedding anniversary. I also asked for a specific table. They said they'd try. We showed up 5 minutes early and saw them seating another couple at the table we requested. Bummer, as they didn't even make an effort to save it for us even though it was unoccupied minutes before our reservation. No aknowlgement by the hostess that they were not able to accommodate our request. Then they seated us at a small table next to the bar near the bathrooms. The worst table in the place. Fine, someone has to sit there, but why ask if it's a special occasion if you are going to do nothing to make it feel special? Luckily, we had an excellent server, and the food was good but the lack of effort was a bummer.

                                                                                  Wonderful dining experience to celebrate my son’s 35th birthday. Creative cocktails, innovative appetizers and perfectly prepared steak and fish dishes punctuated the early dinner. The service was impeccable as well. The views of the Potomac was an added bonus. Will return with friends and highly recommend.

                                                                                  We had a terrific time at Ada's On the River. The waiter was engaging and helpful, the food was fabulous, and the table was looking out from inside. While we started off poorly, waiting 20 minutes for our table although we were on time, the rest of the meal was simply lovely.

                                                                                  We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ada’s. We sat outside. They had heaters when it got cool. Our server Alex was impeccable. Every TV ing we ate was delicious.
