As locals who have dined at Al Solito Posto many times, we’ve always been pleased with the quality of the food, which is why we were eager to bring out-of-town guests last night. We arrived for a 5:00 p.m. reservation, hoping that the kitchen, not yet busy, would deliver a meal that met the usual standards. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. We began with a Caesar salad to share, but it was disappointing: the lettuce had brown edges, and it was dry with only one anchovy. I ordered the veal Milanese, and my husband chose the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. While my veal plate was visually appealing, the meat itself was incredibly thin, dry and horribly overcooked to the point of being tough and difficult to cut. My husband's chicken Parmesan had the same issue—overcooked and dry. The pasta was also a letdown, sticky and clumped together. The server briefly checked in with us early on, but we hadn’t had time to assess the meal, so we didn’t voice any concerns. As we started to taste the food, we realized both entrees were far below being edible. We asked another staff member to locate our waiter, who then returned with an attitude that felt cold and almost confrontational. When we explained the issues with our meals, he asked why we hadn’t mentioned it earlier, even though we hadn’t had enough time to properly evaluate the dishes. By this point, my husband was frustrated and didn’t want anything else, while I was still hungry since I barely made a dent in my veal. I opted for the Branzino as a replacement, and it was excellent—properly cooked and flavorful. However, after that, the server didn’t check in again until the plates were cleared, at which point he just dropped off the dessert menus without any further interaction. It’s hard to say what went wrong in the kitchen that night, but we left feeling both disappointed and dissatisfied. Based on this experience we do not think we will return.

Our server Nikyah was excellent, she walked us through the menu and helped to select a great coursed menu. The fried burrata appetizer is a must, we also tried the seasonal pumpkin pasta and it was delicious. The ambiance was perfect for catching up with girlfriends, and I'm already planning a return visit next month for when my in laws are in town.

If I could more than 5-stars I would!! Our customer experience was beyond excellent. This is likely one of the best Italian restaurants in Las Vegas. Our server for the evening was Barbara, and she was fabulous. She was attentive, prepared , friendly and made our dining experience with friends a pleasure. When I inquired about a specific wine to have, Barb offered me a sample before I made my choice. Turns out it was a fabulous choice and I was so impressed with this level of customer service. Kyle, assisted her and he was fantastic as well. He, too was attentive, polite and very professional. You can tell by the overall vibe of the restaurant that management is engaged, observant and expects high level of customer service from his/her employees. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed delicious eggplant parmesan, chicken marsala and chicken parmesan. We will definitely return and recommend our friends to Al Solito Posto.
