Aleksandar is the newest addition to the acclaimed Rittenhouse Square restaurant scene. We are inspired by seasonal ingredients, chef-driven techniques, and the traditions and flavors of ancestral and modern Europe.

With floor-to-ceiling windows, large-scale original artwork, and cozy wood finishes, we at Aleksandar strive to marry Old World authenticity and modern culinary flare. Aleksandar is an approachable introduction to different corners of Europe, a place to discover new flavors and old traditions. Reservations are highly recommended. We have dined twice recently at Aleksandar, and both times everything was exquisite. The staff are welcoming and well informed. The dishes are thoughtfully conceived, beautifully presented, and scrumptious. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Highly recommended.!

We can’t say anything about the service. It was great. However, the food lacked flavor. We all agreed that it was fresh, but not fine and sophisticated. Moreover, it tasted more on the salty side, especially the mussels and halibut.

Charming place near Rittenhouse Square. Interesting menu with diverse choices. The beef tartare and mussels were outstanding. Small wine list but excellent and fairly priced choices. The service was friendly and well paced. Highly recommend.

The food was really good. On par with talulahs. David was a great server. The ambiance was very n ice Sat by the large front window and watched the snow falling. We ordered a variety of food.. Waldorf salad, steak, gnocchi, beef Tavares, cabbage special and pierogies The only thing we didn't care for were the pierogies
