Aleksandar is the newest addition to the acclaimed Rittenhouse Square restaurant scene. We are inspired by seasonal ingredients, chef-driven techniques, and the traditions and flavors of ancestral and modern Europe.

With floor-to-ceiling windows, large-scale original artwork, and cozy wood finishes, we at Aleksandar strive to marry Old World authenticity and modern culinary flare. Aleksandar is an approachable introduction to different corners of Europe, a place to discover new flavors and old traditions. Reservations are highly recommended.     A great meal - we tried the salmon, halibut and, short rib pasta. Like the change of pasta with the short rib.

    We went on Sunday for brunch and the food was excellent. There were hardly any other people there so it was pretty quiet, which we like. It was our first time and we're going to try dinner too.

    The meal was amazing. All our dishes were terrific. We had the gnocchi, salmon and the short rib pasta. The bread was something I’ve never had before! Yummy. My only true complaint was the noise level. We couldn’t carry a conversation without yelling. Maybe it’s better during the week as we were there on a Saturday night.

    When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how crowded this restaurant has become! However, our reservation was not ready so we went to the bar and waited for 20 minutes in front of the only bartender and could not get her to wait on us because she was so busy making drinks for an entire restaurant! We were finally seated after 30 minutes after our reservation without a drink. While we are happy for your growth - add some extra help. We live literally around the corner and brought our son (home from college) for the first time and were disappointed.

    Good food & excellent service. We will definitely return to the restaurant. Our relative covered the cost of dinner so we don’t know how much it was. Excellent experience!
