We had an excellent dinner at Alligator Pear before we went to the Billy Joel concert. We ordered drinks as soon as we were seated from the hosted and asked our server what they recommend. Everything we were on big ordering was what our waitress suggested- we ordered the alligator sausage, Parker house rolls, Brussels sprouts and shared the gumbo. Everything was brought out at once- but it was excellent. The rolls were good and perfectly paired with the broth from the gumbo. I loved the Brussels sprouts and gumbo- the alligator sausage was so-so. We shared the beignets for dessert and they were fantastic! We went to Savannah last Summer and they tasted just as delicious as we had them down South. Drinks were good- not too strong, but tasty and not too sweet. We would definitely return!

I am absolutely smitten with Alligator Pear. I didn’t expect much since most restaurants are subpar in my opinion since COVID. But this place was fantastic! Nancy, our server, was charming and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was FANTASTIC. The cocktails were EXCELLENT. The place was beautiful and the whole staff was great. I will definitely return.

Nothing special. Food was ok but unremarkable. Nothing that actually made us think of New Orleans. The crème brûlée cheesecake was so overly sweet, we could barely eat any of it. Salmon was good. Arancini had no taste. Service was incredibly slow. Took close to 20 minutes after being seated to get a drink. We won’t return.

The restaurant is beautiful. The service and staff was friendly, fun and amazing. The food was a chef’s kiss! I want to go back to try more and just experience the magic of the restaurant again! Please go!!!

The service is amazing from host to bartender upstairs and the servers. I also really enjoyed the alligator sausage but everything else lacked seasoning

Nice spot. Bartender makes great drinks - menu not overwhelmingly extensive. The burger was really tasty and fantastic fries. A comfortable atmosphere not too loud but they do have live entertainment so may be louder after certain hours near bar. Recommend!

My wife and I had dinner there for 2nd time this month we enjoying it so much. Just a top notch place beginning to end. Food fantastic, & Unreal wine by the glass list and very reasonable Mocktails that are delicious which you never see. Will be back for sure & super convenient to MSG and Hammerstein Ballroom.

We had the fresh bread, cheese beignets, Caesar salad, blackened salmon, dessert beignets and booze and virgin cocktails, Prosecco and coffee. All dishes were tasty and well executed - the beignets were crispy on the outside and the salmon perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and attentive. I appreciate that other servers looked after us when they saw we needed it, not just our main server, so great teamwork. Also our dishes arrived at lightening speed, which worked for us on this occasion as we were on our way to a show. You may have to tell them if you’re there to linger. Only a 3 minute walk to Madison Square Gardens - bonus!

Overall excellent place, elegant, pleasant, and relaxing. The food, however, needs some serious attention. The Brussel sprouts were served burned and in a pool of oil.
