Alter House Restaurant and Bar is a family owned Farm-to-Table Restaurant and Event Venue dedicated to seasonal, sustainable cuisine. It is our culinary mission to source the finest ingredients from regional farmers, artisan purveyors and local farms whenever possible. Here at Alter House Restaurant and Bar, sustainability is the forefront of our identity. The seasons will define our menu. Our goal at Alter House is to be the restaurant of choice in Northeast Pennsylvania. The restaurant, ambience, food and service was amazing. Absolutely a wonderful time. Great place for a date, dinner with friends, or even a more professional setting. Cannot wait to come back!

The handwritten happy birthday card from Alter House was that “special touch” that really wowed me aside for the food, service and ambiance.

The service is always excellent. Tonight was no exception. My lobster fettuccine was delicious. Desserts were delicious. Drinks were delicious. Atmosphere is, as always, very cool.

Had a fantastic dinner experience. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. Shauna was or serve and she was excellent. We go to the Altar House for all our special occasions. I highly recommend.

The vegetables in the harvest bowl were undercooked and unseasoned and the salmon portion was quite small for a total meal price of $33 price. However, I did like the soy sauce that accompanied it.

We always enjoy an evening at the Alter house! Hayden always remembers us, greets us with a smile and a hug! Lovely servers, delicious food and specialty cocktails, and always a great neighborhood vibe! We are so grateful to have this wonderful restaurant in our area, truly a gem!
