Alter House Restaurant and Bar is a family owned Farm-to-Table Restaurant and Event Venue dedicated to seasonal, sustainable cuisine. It is our culinary mission to source the finest ingredients from regional farmers, artisan purveyors and local farms whenever possible. Depending on the size of the event, the restaurant space can be divided to accommodate large party dinners. I let them know it was reservation for a birthday, when I got there, I explained it was for 3 birthdays. They brought out three birthday options for us and sparklers!!! It was so fun, our waitress and other staff were very knowledgeable and nice!!! We had an amazing dinner and can’t wait to go back!

First visit for our anniversary. Upon being seated, Alysa asked us if we were celebrating anything special, and when I told her, she showed genuine excitement and happiness. We had complementary champagne and even a card! The food was great and all of the staff was amazing. Alysa made our experience that much more special. Can’t wait to go back.

The new menu at Alter House offers great new selections like Bonzio and a delicious filet, but maintains some great standards like lobster fettuccini! Shared a wonderful Cesar Cesar salad. Plenty for two to share. New cannoli in a glass dessert! Cocktails and wind banging as always! Sleeper is the French press coffee! Yum!

Excellent New Year’s Eve menu, good service. The place is noisy and with live music, difficult for conversation. Would definitely recommend it.

We love the Alter House! We started coming here a couple years ago, and it is now a highlight of our ski trips up to Elk. The food is delicious, and last night they had live music which was great. It was a wonderful dinner and we will be back the next time we are in Clarks Summit.
