Ambrosia was founded on the principle that the best food - and the best times of our lives - begin with love. In the Pizzi family kitchen in Liguria, Italy, the dinner table was a treasured space for family and friends. Since 1979, the Pizzi family, which now includes Gino's daughters Manuela, Anna, and Francesca, has been bringing that same love and commitment to the Ambrosia kitchen. Regular patrons and staff are all part of the family, and first-time visitors are welcomed like old friends.

Absolutely terrific care from reservation changes to check splitting. 8 of us and every one of us loved our meal. Portions were generous. Our service was flawless. My first encounter and hope to dine there often.

Ambrosia has been our favorite restaurant in the entire state of Indiana for 15 years. We always feel like we are in a real city (like Chicago or NYC) when dining at Ambrosia. The menu selections and the food are always excellent. The wine list contains all the wines one needs when eating Italian: barolos, brunellos, amarones, and more. The prices of the food and the wines are amazingly reasonable. One can easily spend twice as much in a comparable restaurant somewhere else. Now comes one of the best parts of our dining experience: our waiter Dave. Dave is a master waiter and he doubles or triples the pleasure of the dining experience.

The panna is back on the menu! So delicious, along with all the other food my family enjoyed. It is a holiday tradition to enjoy a meal at Ambrosia when the family returns to Indy - my adult children’s favorite restaurant as well as mine!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Ambrosia on Christmas Eve. We made a dinner reservation for a table in the bar, which was perfect, as it was actually quieter than the restaurant was. Daphne proved to be an excellent server, and our food was superb. Our salads and meals were spaced out nicely, and we never felt rushed, although the restaurant was busy. We enjoyed the happy hour cocktail specials as well! We plan to make this a part of our annual Christmas Eve tradition. 😊

Outstanding in every way. I'd eat here every night if I could afford it. Staff is perfect, and food is delicious. A must any day of the week.

Food was delicious. We were going to a play and our server made sure we got our food and bill in a timely manner. He was great! I want to go back soon and have the Rigatoni Medici again.
