This is an old school French bistro with a terrific menu and friendly staff. We had brunch and the food was delicious. We look forward to our next visit!

Great experience. We appreciated being seated in a quiet corner as requested, but actually the restaurant was quiet throughout and ambiance was lovely. Food was delicious and well presented. Mushroom risotto and chocolate mousse were particularly good Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. We are Rhode Islanders who come up to Boston occasionally. Aquitaine is our go to place for dinner after activities since it's on our way heading back. Parking is plentiful and we can relax with a reliably excellent dinner before the hour drive home. We'll be back.

Lovely ambiance but limited menu at lunchtime. It was busy & service was slower than other times I’ve eaten here, dinner time. They always have great desserts!

Great food and very consistent. Love the ambiance and moderate noise level. A favorite spot for a leisurely lunch and a long talk with a friend.

We wanted good French food and picked Aquitaine . We had the special salad of the night and French Onion soup for appetizers - they were both excellent although there could have been a bit more salad. We then split a Veal Schnitzel. It was somewhat burned although that could have been our expectation of how a Schnitzel should be made from making them ourselves. The wine we chose was an 2023 Oregon Pinot Gris which is pushing the limit for aging a Pinot Gris. It was very good so the cellar must be well controlled for temperature. Overall, we think that Aquitaine has settled into classic French food without taking many risks on the menu.

I highly recommend Aquitaine for both lunch and dinner! Our anniversary dinner in August was so good that I brought my cousins back for Christmas gift! It did not disappoint. Ambience was lovely, food was delicious and service was attentive and prompt.

Outstanding brunch. European atmosphere and design. Great service, discreet, respectful, professional. Did not hurry us out. Has a restaurant appreciation fee.

The ambience at Aquitaine in Chestnut Hill is warm and cozy. The hostess Alexandra is so gracious! Our server Fidel is excellent, he is attentive and very helpful! Nikki the bartender makes delicious cocktails ~ My husband loves the Sole!!
