Our newest restaurant, Aracosia McLean, is the sister restaurant to Bistro Aracosia in DC, and Afghan Bistro in Springfield VA.

Outstanding food and service. So many tasty options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers. The staff create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Love the Rumi poems on the walls!

Aracosis in one of my 2 favorite restaurants in Northern Virginia. The food is authentic and delicious- I especially love that there are incredibly good vegetarian options-the pumpkin dumplings are some of my favorites. Service is always friendly and unhurried. The fact that Rumi’s poems are in the walls just makes it an extra lovely touch.

Really delightful dining experience. We hit the trifecta of great food, great service and great value. We heard about Aracosia in Washingtonian and our usual go-to places were booked, so we thought we’d give it a try to celebrate my wife’s 65th birthday. When we arrived, there was a bit of a backup as earlier diners finished their meals. So had a drink at the bar where we enjoyed well- made cocktails. We didn’t wait long at all for our table and were immediately warmly greeted by our server who helped us decide on our meal, which was a large assortment of afghani mezze, not one of which disappointed, but the lamb shank shone even brighter. We were checked on frequently by our server and the manager also stopped over to make sure we were enjoying our evening. When we received the bill, we were pleasantly surprised by the value we received for this very nice dining experience. Aracosia is now another of our go-tos!

We started with the pumpkin dumplings, which were fabulous. Then we ordered the lamb and filet mignon kabobs. Cooked just right. The right with carrots and raisins is delicious. And the service was very sweet and right on target. Not too much and not too little. All in all a very nice meal. We will be back.

Our first introduction to a delightful cuisine. We have never tried Afghani cuisine and we are glad we did. The food was delicious and the spices brought out the best of the ingredients. We will be adding Afghani cuisine to our list of favorites. Thanks for an enjoyable experience
