From the creative team behind the Inns of Distinction group comes Artisan, a new bar and dining experience for the Isle of Wight.

Situated in the heart of Union Street in Ryde in the stunning site previously graced by Joe Daflo's.

Artisan is a relaxed but elegant dining and drinking space serving a wide range of craft and European beers alongside a unique selection of wines and full range of spirits.

Our fabulously decadent cocktail and gin lounge will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings upstairs where you'll find a selection of 100 gins with many tonics and botanicals.

Quality food is also central to Artisan. Sharing platters, small plates and authentic Italian dishes are created from the best produce the Isle of Wight has to offer.

We really enjoyed the meal at this restaurant in Ryde. It was easy, low stress, the food came quickly, the service was excellent and overall, was a great experience. They had good Isle of Wight produce on the menu which was nice to see. The bar man / mixologist was excellent, friendly and really helpful.

The food seemed to be reheated from lunchtime, maybe? Salmon mousse was definitely lacking the salmon (or any other fish) -tasted like whipped cream.... Turkey obviously soaked in the gravy from lunchtime and 'roast' potatoes were soft and mushy. Best were the Brussel sprouts, though not all ate sprouts..... Very disappointed with the food.

Very good service, staff were attentive, food was tasty and good portion sizes. Nice relaxed ambiance for the meal, live music after was very good. Drinks are a little on the pricey side but that's the only negative.

Good food, good pints, friendly staff and a nice building! I had pork, my partner had the steak, and both were excellent. The portions were massive! Top marks to the manager for politely and quietly ejecting some local lads who were shouting and swearing at the bar. They might not be back, but we will be!

Nice place, quite buzzy and staff are friendly. I’ve only really marked it down because they didn’t have chicken goujons left on the kids menu (early doors Sat night!) and no burgers on the kids menu which I thought was strange considering all the food looked like it was made to order in the kitchen.

Arrived at 10:15 for a reservation made, doors were closed and inside all packed up. Told by a member of staff that other members of staff had not turned up and as a result the place was not yet open. Told could be at least half an hour. Did not go back.

We would recommend the Jaz night because the trio are very good. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the decor is attractive to look at. The location of the bar is central to Ryde. The biggest let down is the food. It was not hot, the portions were small and it was very bland and really lacked any wow factor. Disappointed.
