   Had a reservation before a show at the Music Center. Arrived early and were seated almost immediately. Restaurant was full, but not crazy. Hostess and our waiter assured us we had more than enough time before our show, the waiter even saying we could do appetizers first. We ordered wine and dinner immediately, then sat without anything but water for 20+ minutes. Our appetizer/salad and bottle of wine arrived together without any comment about the delay. The salad was okay, but the mushroom app was really good. Thought the wait was a fluke and settled in looking forward to dinner, but it never came. Waiter kept refilling our wine glasses, but no dinner or explanation. At an hour and 15 minutes, we realize we can't eat and make the show. Other diners are leaving for the theater. We try to flag down anyone to say we don't have time to eat, when we start to notice that other tables are speaking with the manager. Finally, we simply stand up with our coats and look around. The manager comes over and apologizes and immediately says he's picking up the tab. Says that the restaurant is in transition and working on issues, but nothing specific. He gave us his card and was very nice. They only serve four entrees, so it's hard to imagine what could be going on in the kitchen to cause that type of delay. And the wait staff didn't seem experienced to deal with it - no communication at all. Hope they pull it together. Sitting through a 3-hour show with no dinner was a drag.

   BEWARE!!!! TIPPING SCAM!!! If you're going to Disney Hall or Ahmanson or Music Center, asterid is NOT a good choice. When you split a bill, asterid lists the FULL suggested tip on BOTH split bills. So when it's dark, or you're in a hurry to get to your theater or music event, asterid is banking on it and when both customers put the 20% or 22% suggested tip for the waiter, he/she gets a HUGE 40-50% tip. WHAT A SCAM. The waiter got $80+ on a $250 bill based on this shady practice. Chef Garcia, why are you permitting this? We discovered it later that night and brought it to asterid's attention, as we thought it might be a system programming error. NOPE! They don't care! BEWARE!!!!!

   Don’t get me wrong the food is excellent but it’s very pricey for what you get. Very small portions. The grilled avocado is 1/2 an avocado and that’s it! Don’t go to this place hungry. You’ll have to order many expensive dishes to fill your stomach.

   Showed up 30 minutes before reservation. Restaurant was empty. Told us they would tell us when our table was ready after 30 minutes, I reminded them we had been waiting. At table, ordered 2 mimosas. They brought one, I reminded the server we ordered 2. Ordered from menu. Asked for a side of fries (they are served with burger, which we were not ordering). They don't allow that. Server brought my order of chilaquiles, not the other order. Still didn't have second mimosa. Chilaquiles were ice cold and basically a pile of tortilla chips with a soft boiled egg and some salsa. I asked another server if they were supposed to be cold and they said, "uh, no". We got up and walked out.

   Every single item we ordered was wonderful. It was nice to be able to eat healthy and bright food that wasn’t overly seasoned. The atmosphere and location are top notch, perfect for catching a meal before a concert at Walt Disney Hall. Though the food is a bit expensive and the portions on the smaller side, I would definitely revisit and recommend the restaurant to others

   When we arrived for our 6:30 PM reservation, there were at least 10 people waiting to be seated. We had to wait at the bar for at least 30 minutes before we got our table, and had to ask repeatedly for drink refills and for our check.  I don’t know if they were understaffed or overbooked, but they were slammed.
