It is with great pride that we share our name with the origional community developed in 1910. In fact, one of the first homes erected that year is presently the second story of Atkins Park. It was in 1922 that the origional home was elevated and Atkins Park Deli built underneath. Atkins Park enjoys a colorful history as an integral part of the neighborhood and is presently the oldest continually licensed tavern in Atlanta. Atkins Park is committed to the growth of the Virginia Highland neighborhood while still striving to preserve and strengthen its warm neighborhood feel.

Great neighborhood food. Not too fancy, just great to pop in and have something good to eat in a casual setting. Prices are affordable, service is friendly.

Portions are huge! Good balance of flavors created with unique combinations of ordinary ingredients. Southern food with an English pub flare.

Went there on a holiday and...server clearly did not want to be there. OK, that happens. Food comes out and fries are lukewarm and hard - probably reheated from an old frier basket. So we ask for more. While we wait we move to the entree, which we split. It was grossly, and visibly, undercooked. And since the entree was split, the sandwich was cut in half in the kitchen so not really sure how that error was not caught before service. My wife took an unsuspecting bite and had to spit out her food, it was that bad.

Went here for Christmas dinner with my husband, the food was meh, definitely not worth $30 a plate. But seeing as it was Christmas, I understand the upcharge. Wine selection was terrible. I've always enjoyed Atkins brunches, so I learned my lesson and will just stick with that.

We made reservations for Christmas Eve since our family had changed our usual annual Christmas plans. The staff was so courteous and nice and very attentive to us. The food was excellent as it always is , and we love the vintage atmosphere of the restaurant. I highly recommend the Fried Chicken as well as the excellent wings and calamari appetizers. We also treated ourselves to the Apple Cobbler and Chocolate Brownie desserts. Both were delicious. I have never been disappointed at Atkins Park on Highland! If you haven't been there, put it on your list of restaurants to try.

Friendly staff, casual but classy environment, amazing food that can accommodate a blowout budget or a frugal night out. My date and I shared a fantastic meal for two and it only ran $25, and there was more food than we could finish. Really versatile and delicious menu, and honestly their basic house burger is among the best I've ever had. Only thing to keep in mind before visiting is that parking can be tough to find at times, but that is just a notice, not a demerit. Absolutely returning for more soon.

The service was great, the food not so much. Then we moved into the bar area to meet up w/some friends. They allow smoking in the bar, it was so disgusting & gross we were horrified & smelled like an ashtray when we left.
