August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and Spain

August is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch. We also offer a range of private dining experiences, and can accommodate 60 seated guests, or up to 100 for reception-style events. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Absolute perfection. August is one of the best dining experiences we've had in Brisbane for years. Delicious, creative dishes with lots of heart (and generously portioned too). Such a beautiful space to visit and be transported through a truly memorable meal.

The appetizers were okay. The main dish of lamb was mediocre- the lamp chop was very fatty. The dish for two was served with one steak knife. The only starch available was French Fries- not an elegant offering.

Beautiful venue there inside the repurposed church. Great ambience. The staff were fantastic and super attentive. But above all the food was absolutely amazing. They do a really good dirty martini too. But the food: OMG! Oysters chorizo. What a combination! The artichoke with parmesan custard: complete flavour bomb. The chicken crown with fois gras was huge and unbelievingly tast. There are leftovers in the fridge an in looking forward to that. Saving some for leftovers was a good idea so as to fit the blue cheese cheese cake with PX jelly. Thanks so much! Brilliant evening.

Disappointed with the food here after reading all the rave reviews. We found most of the dishes on the $130 set menu unremarkable. We won’t be coming back.

This was my second visit and we enjoyed it very much. My only criticism is that the food is over salted, spoiling the more subtle tastes, particularly in the omelette. Otherwise thoroughly recommend and about to book again

Excellent food on Sunday Lunch Sardine with fermented carrots on sourdough had balanced acidity The truffle stracciatella and hazelnuts/fresh figs was a cool dish with refreshing complexity Pork and cold iceberg was a brilliant Sunday roast On balance I would drop the music volume and mix it up on the playlist I will be back for excellent service and eclectic food.❤️😇

We thoroughly enjoyed most aspects of our dining from the oysters and sardine entrees to the wagu main, trout confit & crab omelette. The service & wine choices were excellent & we’d definitely recommend the 5pm sitting if possible as we could have an easy conversation without competing to be heard.
