Welcome to Aurum Food & Wine Aspen Snowmass! We're honored to be a part of the Aspen and Snowmass Base Village communities. We're excited to share our brand of enlightened hospitality, offering a classic take on Seasonal New American Cuisine. Located slope-side on Carriage Way, this elegantly casual space features a luxurious lounge, intimate indoor dining, an outdoor patio with two large fire pits, and a private dining room for parties of up to 16 guests.

We ate at this restaurant twice last year and the food was solid. So this year I booked us here twice; the first reservation was last night. I have already canceled the second. I rarely leave reviews, but the food last night was so bad that I feel I owe it to others to speak up. First, one of my sons ordered Moroccan chicken. What came was an odd mix of over and under cooked chicken, swimming in a pool of olives and tasteless yogurt sauce. Inedible. My other son ordered Korean fried chicken and sweet potato fries. We love Korean food, so he was excited. It was terrible. The sauce tasted as if someone had just lathered gochujang sauce onto tiny pieces of over cooked chicken thigh. Yes, this is the base of any Korean fried chicken - but it’s also supposed to have other flavoring to cut the gochujang, like honey and brown sugar, garlic and ginger and hopefully even some mirin. This was just terrible. My son couldn’t eat it. Then, the sweet potato fries. He took one bite and put them down. What could possible go wrong with sweet potato fries?! These tasted like fish. I thought he was being dramatic- but he was correct. They had a distinct flavor of fish. I have no idea why. I ordered a dry aged strip steak. It was fatty. I ordered medium rare. It came out raw. I politely sent it back, and our waiter was very gracious. When it came back ten minutes later, it was medium rare. I appreciated that. But everything else on the plate was ice cold, and the potatoes were inedible. My spouse ordered a beet salad, which was fine. As for the service- we had a fine waiter. But he never came to the table after the food was delivered except to bring the bill, and never asked why we returned most of the food uneaten. The supporting servers were bad. One delivered my son’s chicken to the next table and walked away. We heard them say it wasn’t theirs, and she ignored them. We had to flag down another server to get it. The whole experience was bad. I had to cook a second dinner.

My husband and I had the carrot and parsnip soup, chili and split the French onion burger. All were delicious! All of the servers were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The best dining in Snowmass! Food was more than excellent— we had the filet mignon, tuna filet, and the trout! Highly recommend the bread! Our server was precious— ask for the server from Argentina! We were celebrating a birthday & they made the birthday feel so special with a birthday song, cookies, and a signed card from all employees. BEST EXPERIENCE!

Good points- my vegetarian cauliflower starter was fantastic - a very generous portion. My carrot soup entree was fine, but nothing special. My brother ordered the lettuce cups to start with and before he had finished it, his entree was brought. He became somewhat confused and distressed (he is elderly) because he thought he was in the wrong. I asked the staff to take his entree back until he had finished his starter. Then my soup was brought which meant it was cold by the time his entree came. The timing was completely wrong and spoiled our visit unfortunately - there was really no excuse for it. The staff could clearly see that my brother was only half way through his starter before they brought the entree - it was very unpleasant. He ended up ordering a dessert he didn't want to 'make up for' 'causing trouble' to the staff. Unfortunately, the avocado cheesecake was also not a success.

What a wonderful experience! We were there during Thanksgiving and dined on your delicious holiday menu. The food was excellent, and the server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The experience was so good that we returned for a second meal. We would highly recommend it.

Awesome ambience, food and drinks! The restaurant came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. My husband had the best trout he’s ever had and my Moroccan chicken was superb. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious as well! Our waiter, Andrew, was fantastic as was the rest of the staff! We will be back!!

We went back to Aurum to give them another try and are so happy we did! The service was great and our drinks were so good! My husband said it was the best Old Fashioned he has had. Great cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor.
