We love the classic Japanese pub atmosphere of this place. Cozy, lively, with great bar and table service. Apps to love are the pork egg rolls and the pork dumplings (seared). Get the miso soup, as well. My wife was satisfied with the apps and soup. I added the Salmon Teriyaki special which comes with rice and green salad (and miso soup). Marcus was attentive just enough not to be interrupting. We weren't rushed, and every bite satisfied. We'll be back!

Came in early for happy hour, had amazing service and was gifted a dessert for my birthday! Half off sale on Tuesday was a hit! Their specials that aren’t on the menu were fantastic. We left full and ready to come back to try more.

We came in with about 8 ladies for girl night out. Everything was great in the beginning we got our drinks and apps put in. Our server was also helping the bar area. Well drinks were starting to be forgotten several appetizers that were ordered didn’t come out. Food was delicious overall. The server then said our checks got messed up and read us our orders out loud. Well mine was correctly read out loud but when I was charged and got me recipet there was an additional $20 worth of food on it. This happened to three of us. They voided our transaction and corrected it. Well this morning several ladies woke up with multiple charges from this establishment from last night all different amounts. We have been coming here for over a year and never had issues but I can say the over charging and neglecting tables for the bar was very upsetting and the people that were invited are not wanting to return since they had multiple charges on their cards. I hope awajis can make it right and keep loyal customers.

Awaji is definitely a sleeper sushi restaurant that you wouldn’t necessarily think of when passing 122/rockwell. You won’t get in without reservations, and the inside of the restaurant is like walking into a sushi restaurant in Japan. they’re selling some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. Unique rolls to the restaurant, along with noodles, skewers, and other items. Also delicious desserts, I’m talking to you bruleed cheesecake. This is also one of the fastest service restaurants I’ve ever eaten out. You can be in and out in 45 mins if you want, but more realistically an hour. These guys are pros at turning over tables, and their sushi chefs are pumping out rolls like a nascar pit stop crew. Treat yourself.
