Balboa Surf Club is an upscale American restaurant in the heart of Uptown, Houston, located in Post Oak Plaza. The menu places an emphasis on fresh seafood from around the country, including a curated sushi program, as well as salads, hearty sandwiches, a standout hamburger, and hand-cut steaks.
Beverage selections include classic house cocktails, and an extensive yet approachable wine list.
The dining room is made up of lush plants, intimate booths as well as a full service bar and lush patio.

Me pareció que los “sides” están mal escogidos, yo pedí Tuna Frites venia con papas a la francesa un plato tan delicioso acompañado de papas fritas no me parece bien. Gracias

                                                                                        The exterior leading to the entrance door is stunning. With all the wood detail, you can see the build was thoughtfully planned out. Upon entering you're surrounded by wood detail and live beautiful plants and palms. Our favorite appetizers were the coconut shrimp and fried oysters. Both had so much flavor. We shared the el pescador grouper sandwich with wonderfully crispy fries and tasty sauces to accompany them. We finished with a dessert, the quattro leches, absolutely amazing! And we were given a free dessert, for our wait on the entree, of chocolate pie. This slice of pie was heaven! It was so creamy and included the flavor (and smell) of espresso! A must have! The bar area was nice and next time we will sit at the bar and view sports on the TV.

                                                                                        Food keeps getting better and better! The Cesar salad with house made croutons was outstanding. The croutons were perfectly crisp and seasoned on the outside and soft in the center…with a beautifully stacked presentation. Crab cake was always delish… so were the coconut shrimp and sushi rolls. Service was excellent and we could hear ourselves and have a nice conversation. We will be back for sure!

                                                                                        Wonderful food. Next time we go we will ask NOT to be seated in the bar area or next to a waitperson stand. It was noisy and people were walking by all the time on their way to the loo.

                                                                                        Really enjoyed our experience last night. The food is really unique and high quality. We loved everything we had. The only thing that was odd was two other servers approached us before our real server came. It was unclear to me so I was asking the first guy a bunch of questions about drinks etc when he was apparently only there to bring us water. I’ll definitely be back because there were so many dishes I wanted to order.
