Bar Crispin is an all-day restaurant & wine bar on Kingly Street, Soho, designed by Jermain Gallagher. Offering low intervention wines & seasonal sharing plates, it is a place for any occasion.

Our chefs are lead by Fabien Spagnolo (ex Frenchie, Pollen St Social, The Corner Room & Casa Fofo), with a wealth of experience he respects each ingredient, allowing us to celebrate great local producers & creating memorable experiences. The menu is broadly European inspired, focussing on locally & sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers, small-scale farms & producers (think crispy polenta, croquettes, organic British vegetables, sustainable seafood, classic cuts).

I enjoyed the evening and food overall but there were quite a few serious problems which would sadly mean I’d be very unlikely to come back or recommend this place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I can’t fault that however it was not made clear to us that our table would be needed back within 90 minutes. We ordered drinks (which came rather slowly and the portions of the cocktails was pathetic considering the price) The waiters seemed to be in no hurry to take any orders… Anyway, we ordered starters about 30 mins after arriving. Once these had come and gone and we had ordered mains we were told that we had to leave in the next 10 minutes for the next table. But by this point our mains hadn’t even arrived! So we were meant to eat all our main (which would hopefully arrive soon) and pay and leave in the next 10 minutes?? This is NOT how you treat customers. The server seemed very sorry and I don’t think it was his fault. We said we hadn’t been informed that we only had 90 mins as the atmosphere was super relaxed, the waiters weren’t particularly fast at taking and bringing food and drinks. So this was a really disappointing ending to our evening. The food overall was really good. Such a shame we felt under pressure to eat it all quickly and leave. I understand the fact they have different sittings but this should be clearly explained at the beginning, especially if we are misled into feeling there’s no rush (like many restaurants) We ended up being offered a 10 mins extra grace but it left a bad taste in my mouth. This place has so much potential but please listen to my points and make the improvements. Plus a £13 spirit should not come as a single measure - what a rip off / misleading menu. I’m sorry but I’m not sure l’ll be returning. I hope for you that things improve.

Food very mediocre, ordered whole menu. Three of the plates were cold. Bread seemed stale. Portions very small for price point. Seats uncomfortable. Somewhat saved by the wine and the service. Wouldn’t recommend

There is sort of idea with a bad execution . Fine dining prices with a poor paper napkin and sticky table. Very small menu - weak dishes yet there is a bit of hope. Good wine - and again - overpriced Nothing special.

We were disappointed that there was no information (such as tasting notes, abv, grape) for any of the wine on the menu other than the name. I wouldn’t mind if the staff knew about wine themselves so could advise us appropriately, but they clearly don’t. I asked for a recommendation for a full bodied red and we were brought an extremely light red. We went for something different for the next bottle, again asking for a full bodied red, but was brought, again, a very light, and this time chilled, bottle of red. They didn’t tell us it was a chilled red until it had been poured. So we payed over £100 for two bottles of wine which was not at all the type of wine we asked for. It just seems like a bit of a pretentious wine bar but with staff that don’t know their stuff, which was a real shame. I must say though, the food was lovely.

Staff members were amazing and attentive. The fried rice was definitely the stand out dish but all dishes and wine’s were amazing. Overall, I had a great time

Bar Crispin was fantastic! We sampled the majority of dishes on the menu and loved each one more than the last. They boast an extensive wine selection. Service was exceptional and despite being a busy Saturday night, our table was made available early and we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal. Absolutely must try when in London!

Our Bar Crispin experience was fantastic. We'd seen a review on Top Jaw, and the food absolutely lived up to the rave review. The space is intimate, the design perfectly considered. We ordered nearly everything on the menu, but the mackerel was the showstopper. Can't wait to return.

Cozy spot near the bustle of Regent Street. Delicious food and wine in a minimalist space. Nice outdoor seating options too, which would have been great on a sunnier day.
