The food was great! I had their pork belly Bulgogi tacos, it was amazing! My kids shared their steak and eggs with crispy potatoes and they loved it! Steak is the correct temperature and it has good flavor. The pork in my tacos is very flavorful as well. For the cocktail I had oh mai mai. I like it because it’s sweet Due to the pineapple. The lemonade and orange juice that my kids ordered are five dollars each, I think that is way too expensive for a lemonade and an orange juice. also, if you are going to eat here, if the server offers you, would you like rice and refried beans to go with your entrée, Just remember that those are add-ons. They are not included in the meal as a side just like in other Mexican restaurants. So my husband and I opted for just the rice coz we don’t like beans. We barely touched it because we had corn tortillas that came with our entree. When I got my bill, to my surprise those two rice were charged separately totaling to $13. So I asked the manager to take it off my bill because we were not told that it is an additional charge, i was done ordering and he offered the rice and beans so we thought it was included in the meal. she wasn’t too happy about it. Both my husband and I saw it in her face. She was really friendly when we first came in but when we left, she wasn’t. It was still a fun experience because we went on the first Sunday that they had the bingo. There were three rounds and there were cute prizes to be won. The bingo is free You don’t have to pay to play. The host is really funny, but I wish that they would have put a warning when we booked it through OpenTable as brunch+bingo because there were inappropriate words and jokes that were said and I was with my 12 and 10-year-old girls. Before we left, we had churros for dessert and my kids liked it!

Food is excellent; service is very good. very long wait between ordering and arrival of food. Also, extremely loud - hard to have conversation without yelling.

They’ve shrunk their menu considerably, maybe because it’s a winter menu? Not sure. Our server was pretty obviously annoyed he was at work that day. Last year when we were here it was easily our favorite restaurant. Sad that it’s gone down hill

The host and server were polite and attentive. The food was great, flavorful and fresh. We had a taco salad w nicely grilled chicken and a platter of three soft shell tacos all delicious. Barrio is a lively place located in a fun part of town with many restaurants and jazz clubs close by. I'll revisit next Chicago trip .

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. The corn cake, quesadilla and tacos were so good.. Will be returning for sure.
