Described as "Brazil in Cleveland", Batuqui is in the heart of Cleveland, OH and emphasizes the cuisines of the Bahia and Minas Gerais states of Brazil. Set in a casual but appealing dining room, there is also a full bar with custom cocktails.

The menu at Batuqui is full of exciting and unique choices and they are known for their authentically grilled top sirloin steak called Picanha. They offer appetizers like the Frango Passarinho which is fired chicken in a cilantro sauce or the Salgadinhos which are savory hand-rolled Brazilian bar snacks and entrees like the hearty traditional Brazilian party dish called Feijoada. They have fantastic salads and an array of intriguing Brazilian entrees. Choices include fish, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options in addition to the grilled meats and Brazilian steaks that make Batuqui such an appealing spot. Love desserts? Their homemade chocolate bon bons called Brigadeiros or Coconut Butter Cake are amazing too!

    We celebrated my MILs birthday with a lovely dinner here. The staff were incredible kind and attentive. The food was fabulous! Such a cute place. We will definitely return.

    Great food selections. All was very tasty. I had the Xim Xim which was wonderful. It was hard to hear as the room was so noisy. I hope the new place they move to will have some noise cancelling tiles.

    First time at Larchmere location, love the Chagrin Falls one and wasn’t disappointed. Tried the Restaurant Week menu, which was delicious and a great value. Will be back for sure:

    We had the Restaurant Week specials, and they were tasty. I didn’t catch the server’s name but she was gracious and attentive. The tables are close together, and we were seated between two lively foursomes, making conversation with my partner difficult. Maybe we’ll return on a weeknight when it may be quieter.

    Outstanding! Wow, simply wow! Very well situated in the neighborhood, quaint, not a huge restaurant which i love. Food was exceptional and our server was amazing and answered our many questions! We’ll be back! ❤️

    It really concerns me that our waitress encouraged us to buy a 57 dollar steak and the only difference between it and the one on the menu was a garlic sauce. Batuqui, while good, continues to completely overcharge for below average portions and basic food. When asked how many ounces is the steak, the waitress said 11 ounces, and I have doubts about the cut and whether or not this is true. After two drinks at happy hour and a steak a piece our bill was 160 sans tip and that’s really ridiculous. If I didn’t have a gift card, I wouldn’t return.
