                      We checked in with the hostess and we were immediately seated in a comfortable booth as we had requested. Our server, Breta, was very friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. She did a great job. Our food was tasty as were drinks. We had a nice meal before we went off to watch the Minnesota Gophers hockey game.

                      Nice to have a reservation so you know you’ll be seated. Busy, crowded and NOISY on Gopher game nights. Staff is excellent at handling the rush. They get the food and drinks out in prompt fashion and don’t get rattled by the crush. Short walks to the various arenas. Want to keep The Graduate a secret so I can always get a table!!!!

                      There on game day and service was slow. They removed us from our table because said reservation time expired and we were still ordering.

                      The Beacon Public House has a new menu as of a week or so ago. My wife and I tried the Pork Belly Bowl and Carne Asada Tacos, both were very good and could be easily a meal unto themselves. In addition, I had the Pappardelle Bolognese. It was good and a lighter pasta option, but I would have liked a bit more flavors included to provide a more gastronomic experience. As always, the service was outstanding, not only with our server, but with those around the restaurant including the bar tender and hostess. An overall very enjoyable experience!

                      We were seated in a large comfortable booth soon after we arrived. our server was pleasant and informative. I had to smash burger. It was excellent. My wife had the shrimp cocktail in a bowl of the tomato soup. Both were good but the soup should’ve been hotter.

                      I held a lunch for 12 people for retirement party on Friday January 3rd. Because the UMN was out on winter break, the restaurant was almost empty, so we were able to push together several High Top tables. Service was quick and friendly. Good option close to the UMN.

                      Hooray, Morgen! Morgen took great care of my guest and me and did so always with a smile. She is an outstanding host and server! I enjoyed the "Graduate Smash Burger" - definitely a signature item (!!!) - and my guest gave thumbs up to the "Malted Waffle."
