    Goede ambiance. Vriendelijk personeel. Mooie gedekte tafels. Alles voldoende aanwezig. Mooi en vooral lekker eten.

    Food stodgy, very sweet, cloying. Sandwiches thick and stodgy: thick ham plus thick cheese plus other filling bears no relation to a dainty, Edwardian tea. Service: waiting staff doing their best but clearly exhausted. The young girl who cleared our table certainly had not been trained: she cleared ACROSS the diner instead of from one side, it felt cafeteria style and rather rude. Altogether: disappointing and very expensive.

    Isla who was our waitress is a credit to Betty’s as she was vet attentive and polite. As it was my birthday I had Happy Birthday played on the piano and a cake.

    The afternoon tea was very average, and sandwiches weren’t tasty at all. Service was poor and we were scared to even ask for anything from one of the waitresses as she was very grumpy. The waiters were better, and more friendly. They kept forgetting about things we ordered. At least we didn’t have to queue for upstairs seating.

    Lovely treat for my mum's 50th birthday - would definitely go again for the amazing food, service and ambience!

    The Imperial Room is traditional and stylish with Silver Service setting a good atmosphere. The Bakery was to Betty's standard but...... The Staff encourage a request for additional Refreshment or Tea items so I was most surprised to be told that ' they had run out of Cream'. Minor perhaps but not when Betty's Scones are an integral part of the experience! A complaint was raised to be met with a 'standardised' reply. Other Diners have commented at the cost of the experience - I was happy to cover my Party but the disappointment was significant in this major respect. I had been happy to let delays in attracting attention pass but with the Afternoon in full swing it was inexcusable not to have obtained extra basic supply locally. I am sorry to give this poor - but justified - review which could have been avoided with much improved Management.

    I would 100% recommend it , my family loved it The food was soo tasty the whole experience was brilliant And the staff so friendly.
