Bistro Gadi offers a casual dinning experience focusing on seasonal produce.

Situated on on Level 4 of the Australian Museum, it offers guests a casual, interactive dining experience in a fresh, light-filled space with views overlooking Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral and Woolloomooloo Bay.

The lunch spread focuses on fresh seasonal produce, with platters of flavourful mains, salads and wraps prepared daily. Special kids menu available daily.

Open 11.00 to 3pm Wednesday to Sunday (last orders at 2.45pm).
*Please note Bistro Gadi will be closed for private events on Wednesday 14 August, Sunday 8 and Friday 20 September. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Located on the top floor of the Australian Museum, Bistro Gadi is a pop-up bistro offering guests a casual, interactive dining experience. The fresh, light-filled space offers views overlooking Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral and Woolloomooloo Bay.                               This isn't a traditional order-off-the-menu restaurant - its more like a buffet, with limited main and side dish options that are sitting on a buffet style table. The mains were cold as they were sitting there for a while. Options are limited. This is not the high end experience you would expect, especially for the price and venue.

                              The food was healthy and delicious. Being able to order and have your meal served at the same time meant there was no waiting time for your meal. The service was very good with friendly staff .The choices of sides with your mains represent good value for money. The view was lovely making the restaurant light filled. Low noise making for a pleasant ambience.

                              Loved the setting and really enjoyed the service. Food was very good even though menu is limited. We had 6 adults and 5 children over two tables and everyone agreed it was a great way to end a visit to the Australian Museum.

                              This is a great value for money option for lunch at the Australian Museum. They currently have a special running until November. And the views are amazing - looking out to St. Mary’s Cathedral and Hyde Park. The food is very tasty. You choose a main and then either 2 or 3 sides. We really enjoyed our lunch after seeing an exhibition.

                              Amazing, wonderful friendly staff, Manager was so helpful with our booking. Food was delicious and spectacular views.

                              Great location for a quick meal after a visit to the museum. The staff are very helpful and friendly. And the meal is very good value for money with a reasonable selection of dining options. The only criticism is the shepherd's pie, though delicious, could have been hotter.
