   The lobster thermador was a really impressive dish. Picking out my own lobster and getting a picture taken with it certainly added to the experience. Prices are a bit steep and (by American standards) the service was slow. Felt like we needed to flag down a server any time we needed anything. It was a 15 minute wait before our first drink order was taken. I know that may be a cultural difference but it made it frustrating because everyone seemed to almost ignore us. The bill was pretty expensive as well, even in comparison to other restaurants of similar caliber elsewhere on the island. Ambiance was fine, felt like for the price we should have had a water view. Best part was the quality of the food, and since everything tastes great it all rounds to a 4 out of 5 stars from me.

   We visited on April 3 and were disappointed especially since this restaurant is highly rated. The restaurant chose to leave the front doors open so we smelled cigarette smoke and diesel fumes from trucks that kept driving by the entire dinner. It made no sense to keep the door open when they had the air conditioning blasting. Who wants to eat while smelling cigarettes and diesel fumes? We were served by 6 different people which was incredibly disorganized and bad service overall. One gave us someone’s foie gras when we were waiting on dessert. My husband’s wine glass was dirty and had stuff floating in it. The escargot lacked flavor, the lobster bisque was flavorful but it had no lobster in it, the beef tenderloin was not tender and the lamb shank was ok. We also had the chocolate cake and the Profiteroles which both were really good. We were there celebrating my birthday and my husband let them know that in the reservation as well as in person but they did not bring our desserts out with a “happy birthday”, a candle, etc. We felt we were treated quite poorly by one of the French waitresses who just had an overall poor attitude. This restaurant quite literally put a major damper on my birthday especially when we had an amazing day exploring the island. I personally do not recommend this restaurant at all.

   Seven of us with a 4 yr old had an absolutely delightful dining experience last night! It was Carnival so there was so much fun going on! The food was perfect, the service on point, overall 4 stars

   Husband and i got the lobster and shrimp and shared. Lobster was AMAZING! Even got to pick out which one we wanted. Attentive and friendly staff, always checking in on us. Very pleasant experience, highly recommend.

    This is one of the few times that Tripadvisor and OpenTable let me down -- this restaurant definitely does not live up to being awarded the "Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best" status. My wife and I did love our starters -- the escargot were delightful and the carpaccio was possibly the best that we've ever had. After we finished the apps we asked if the sommelier could make a wine recommendation for our main courses, and we were told that they did not have a sommelier and our server was unwilling to make a recommendation so I was forced to choose a wine from a list with which had had no familiarity. When the entrees came the veal was tasty but the richness became cloying after a few bites. The red snapper special, though was quite overcooked and over-salted and could not be finished. When our server eventually asked how the food was and I told her the fish was not well-prepared her response was "Oh" and she walked away. When the maitre'd later inquired about the meal, I repeated that the fish had been inedible due to being overcooked and over-salted her response was that she would tell the chef and that was that. At such a highly regarded as well as self-proclaimed fine dining establishment I expected much better service and food. I'd highly recommend avoiding this restaurant and going across the street to Ocean 82 where the food has always been wonderfully prepared, the service friendly and helpful, and the views incredible.
