                                                                    Blackwell Hitch ruined our first evening in Baltimore! It started with the BASICS: -We sat for over 15 minutes before anyone approached our table. No one came by to at least acknowledge they would be by shortly Finally a manager stopped by and started assisting us at which time a waitress showed up. -Once our cocktails were ordered, as well as our appetizers, we sat for another 16 + minutes (my husband was monitoring the time). Once again we appealed to our waitress. -Our appetizers arrived before our drinks. -We had to appeal to our waitress to get our drinks -We observed in our section a table of 3 that had been waiting and waiting. They got up and left only then did someone approached our table them but it was too late!! They left. -When our food arrived we asked for our bill fearing we would have to wait a long time Note: We were visitors to Baltimore if we had known the area and restaurants we would have left. Website: The website menu was inaccurate. We selected Blackwell Hitch for the posted menu what a big disappointment!! The food that we ordered was fair. We can’t recommend Blackwell and Hitch

                                                                    Overall: Good: had 2 apps, soup, and desserts & the food was good, the wings were a little dry and the minestrone was good just not classic Italian Ambiance: very nicely designed and restrooms were clean Service: As a lot of the reviews state, the service is a little slow. The servers are nice, but there is no sense of urgency or self-awareness.

                                                                    We came for my husband’s birthday and he ordered the filet with crabmeat. The crabmeat was bad and we brought it to the attention of our server Will and he never told the chef and charged us the whole $58. My husband didn’t eat the food . I had the bourbon glazed pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and charred broccolini which was delicious. I had pear martini which was delicious too.
