First visit, definitely not the last! Outstanding service by Grace. Super accommodating chef, kitchen and manager. Excellent fresh fish entrees!

This new location has been a total hit for Blue Gill and for Gainesville itself. Thank goodness we had reservations? ( thank you OpenTable) We dined on fried green tomatoes w a mustard hummus, fish tacos and the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! Another great dining experience at Blue Gill.

Loved the Inviting, Stylish and spacious interior design. Delicious high quality food served on hot dinnerware. Salmon cooked to perfection hot from the pan. Vegetables were only warm but very tasty. Shrimp and grits were excellent. Unique house potato chips were a hit. I missed the 4 layer coconut cake that has been replaced by a smaller 2 layer square. Not the same taste. Our server was pleasant and professional but pushed us to order, cleared dishes when 2 people were eating and asked to serve dessert. Overall, Blue Gill is an upscale restaurant with outstanding food.

First time at new location. Our party of 4 shared the smoked fish dip(very tasty and mostly fish) and brussel sprouts (Asian flavor), also very good. The steak was delicious and prepared perfectly. the Chimichura scallops were also unique and very good. The fish tacos had a generous portion of fish and were good. The calimari was nice and crunchy. Overall, we loved the food and plan to return.

Excellent choice for dinner in Gainesville. Grace, our server, a young lady with over-the-top exuberance was awesome. I recommend this place highly. Remember to NOT rely on the Apple map app, though🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
