We have been to Blue Point Oyster Bar several times and the food never disappoints. There is something to please everyone and the appetizers are particularly great. Service is top notch.

First time, but won't be last time. Had a great meal here with friends. All apps and entrees were prepared to perfection. Casual, friendly atmosphere. Like going to a friend's house for dinner. We really enjoyed it.

We were greeted and seated by the owner, a very nice gentleman, who wanted to know how well the OpenTable application worked. I told him his was my first reservation and I would let him know. He took us over to our Reserved table, and I told him the OpenTable system works great.

This is a hard one to review...The restaurant is nice and clean with plain ambiance..The service although very friendly was also very slow. I ordered a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer which took forever to come out...When it finally arrived, the shrimp were warm.....i asked for bread because i enjoy dipping in the cocktail sauce, and i over heard the waitress ask for how many people....when the bread came out, there were two very small rolls...one for each of us.....after a couple of bites i asked for more bread and the same question was asked and another two tiny rolls were brought out.....my entree could of been very good if not for the fact that it was barely warm...the place was half empty prime time on a saturday night which i guess tells a story...i just had the feeling the place is not being run professionally.....they have alot of work to do if they are going to survive.....

My wife and I went with a Groupon. Mushroom appetizer was great, warm cozy atmosphere, food and wine were great. I'd highly recommend.

Perfect example of a restaurant that has fabulous food and outstanding service. The food is what brings you, but Gina and the servers will keep you coming back. A favorite restaurant of ours.

Creative food, nice ambiance, and around the block! However, there were two entrees that started with "seafood" , seafood stew, and seafood harvest. I ordered one, but got the other. Didn't see the wait staff, so I choose to eat. When I did see someone, she did say it was her mistake. She asked if I wanted to change, but I said I had started eating. It was tasty, as was my wife's salmon! Perhaps an offer of complementary coffee or dessert would have been nice.... And a pad to write down the order!

LOVED IT !!! My wife , another couple and I went out for dinner. The fillet mignon was the best cut of meat ever. I love red meat and I comparing it to other meats of the world ( TEXAS - ARGENTINA - BRASIL ) ... It tasted like butter !!!

Three couples for dinner and was Long Island Restaurant Week. Some ordered from the special menu, and others selected from the regular menu. Everything was super delicious!! Well prepared and large, tasty portions. Martini's, very affordable wine list, and we really enjoyed the evening!
