   We had been looking forward to visiting Blue Ribbon, but we left feeling kind of ambivalent. The food, service and ambience were all fine, but none of these elements was outstanding. If I were strolling around Kenmore Square, I’d willingly stop in for a casual meal, though this restaurant isn’t really the best spot for special occasion or destination dining.

   Great meal. Our server Alejandro was wonderful! Food is very well executed.

   Possibly the worst service I’ve ever had - we sat at the table for 40 minutes in an empty restaurant before the waiter came to ask us our drinks. The portions were small, other than the fried chicken, and our server never checked on us during the meal. For the price, this is not remotely worth it. I booked this meal for an important business meeting and was extremely disappointed.

   Everything was great and our waitress was fantastic. First time there and we had a great time. We’ll absolutely be back

   Came here for Restaurant Week. Enjoyed the French onion soup, cod entree and chocolate Bruno. Food was solid. Wine was delicious. Suggest add a few touches to elevate your dishes (slice of orange, touch of mint or parsley for color). Kinda slow to get seated (had reservation and they were not slammed). Not sure what the problem was. Wrong appetizer was delivered to my husband; took a while to get the right one delivered. By then, I was done my app. Server was warm and friendly.

   We decided on Blue Ribbon and certainly do not regret it! Best meal out !10/10! I had salmon hubby had steak frites. Both cooked perfectly! Don’t hesitate…GO!

   My wife and had a delicious meal at Blue Ribbon. We made a reservation specifically because the menu looked delicious and the location was right around the corner from Landsdown St where we’re attending a concert at the MGM Music Hall. We shared pan fried gnocchi, and shrimp cocktail. She opted for a frisse salad while I had lamb chops. The staff was very attentive to my wife’s garlic intolerance and made sure there was no kitchen cross-contamination. The manager made a special effort to make sure we were pleased and made a point of coming over before we left to make sure we were totally satisfied. (We were!!) This is definitely a place to dine prior to a Fenway Park event!

   I don’t know why this is place is not packed . The food is excellent & the service is very attentive & nice & the price point is so reasonable compared to comparable places . The decor is the one thing I can think of . It’s kind of like a generic hotel restaurant so it definitely does not give a “ cool fun” vibe . It’s otherwise great !

    The food was very good, great variety. Service was excellent, the gentleman server was attentive and helpful. A little pricey but it's Boston, so expected.
