With one of the most picturesque dining settings in Coronado, the Boathouse is situated on the water, where you can enjoy the romantic views of Glorietta Bay. The iconic cupola-adorned landmark was built in 1887 as a design prototype for the Hotel del Coronado located across the street.

Bluewater Boathouse may be reached by water taxi, the Coronado Bay bridge or via the Silver Strand. The upstairs lounge host Happy Hour, Sunday through Thursday from 3:00pm till 6:00pm and dinner service Friday and Saturday at 4:00pm. Banquet rooms are available for day or evening rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate events and military functions. Surrounded by historical character, stunning views of the Bay and a pristine fresh menu, Bluewater Boathouse is a must see culinary destination.

Eten was matig en kwam bij zowel voor als hoofdgerecht zonder het bestelde drinken. Erg luide omgeving. Je hebt het eten nog niet op, of de rekening komt al. Niet gezellige ambiance. Open table vraagt voor welke gelegenheid en je vult in: verjaardag. Maar daar doen ze niets mee. Al met al zeer teleurstellende avond.

Took my family there for my wife’s 50th birthday because the menu looked great and the location is awesome. In spite of letting them know of the special occasion, we were seated at a lousy table even though better were available. Then, they didn’t acknowledge my wife’s birthday until the very end. service wasn’t very attentive even though the restaurant wasn’t full. Oh, and the food was basically “meh”. Wasn’t terrible but probably won’t go back.

We had to reschedule our reservation and found this restaurant to be extremely helpful in finding another time which worked for us. The server was pleasant (for the most part- seemed annoyed when we couldn't decide on dessert and she had to come by twice). Food was fabulous, adjusted to our allergies with no complaint. Try the swordfish, grilled. Definistely an eatery you want to visit if you're in the Silver Strand area!

Horrible. I live across the street and we went to dinner and had to wait even though we had a reservation. We were told we had to wait at the bar which we did upon entering the restaurant over half the tables are empty but full of dirty dishes and trash. After our appetizers, the food came, but all the plates were still on the table. They made us pile the plates up in the middle of the table, delivered our food, and then said the bus boy would come by and clear the dirty dishes, which never happened. I had to put them on the floor so we had room to eat. My ribs came without the sauce and when I asked for it, I waited until my food got cold and then asked about the sauce and they said they had run out but would I like some blue cheese dressing to put on my barbecue ribs. No apology no offer to have another dish and we never saw the waitress again until it was time to pay. I will never go back

Repeat trip to the Bluewater, did not disappoint! Great calimari and crabcakes, the ahi ahi was delicious and a good wine selection! Will definitely go again!

We went with a table of three, and all of us were disappointed in the size of the drinks (soda). We finished them before the meal even arrived. The food was good, although the crab cakes were mainly bread. The tuna was excellent. We will go again, but hopefully, they will change their beverage sizes and refill as needed.

Service was outstanding. Perfect ambience for a birthday dinner. Most of the food tasted good. The Rockefeller oysters meant to be an appetizer was salty and came out last. Otherwise, the server was prompt and attentive, given how busy they were. Would come again.

This a true SD hidden gem, everything from the welcoming smile of the hostess to the dinning room ambience, the light, the courtesy of the waiters and the quality of food is TOP ⭐️ We came because Charo was craving Lobster Roll and it was great, we also enjoyed the delicious clam chowder which we tried 1/2+1/2 (Red/White) and the NW fresh oysters were very nice and tasty. I ordered the pasta with asparagus, shrimp and scallops 🤌🏼✨ mmmm it was chef’s kiss good!
