Sitting right on the edge of Lake Eden, the Boardwalk Cafeis a one-of-a-kind destination in North Lakes, just north of the Brisbane CBD. Sit inside or outside on the deck and enjoy new homemade freshly baked goods, plus some old favourites from previous menus. Fresh, well priced casual dining with a little of everything. Combining indoors and outdoors, the new Boardwalk Café will have counter service, 2 bars (on weekends) and a takeaway option, all overlooking the water at Lake Eden.

Food normally good. Possibly because they were busy the chips were not up to standard.

Staff were polite and pleasant and the lake view a major plus. We ate lunch late and were still in the internal dining room at 1:45. Apparently, all the tables must be back in position and cleaned by 2 pm. This created a lot of noise so we had to move outside. We have been a few times over the years and food is always very hit and miss; mediocre at best. We know not to have several of the choices, e.g. lambs-fry as it can be overcooked and tough. My chips looked as though they were from the end of a frozen packet - many small bits. It was a similar story for my two guests. They both had grilled barramundi which was overcooked and somewhat dry. The position of the internal restaurant and the external cafe is excellent next to the lake. That is why we have come back a few times. Unfortunately, this visit will have been our last. Over the years things have declined, especially the food. You really need to review your service and the quality of the food.

It was a great meal and night out. Food was great and service to match. We went on Valentine's Day but will be back. Thank you so much.

First of all, first timers… so first impression terrible, walked in… the way it’s set out didn’t really know where to go, then headed to the bar.. to find the staff who ask “how he could help” wow so good!!!!! Secondly on the booking it asks “what’s the occasion” why bother nothing was mentioned so much for celebrating our anniversary there, then had to order at the bar so not a nice experience, and with only a handful of customers after a few minutes while eating entrees I was told they didn’t have a part of my meal left?!?! What really!! Was offered a different option or another meal, I went with a different option, and in saying only a handful a people, there was plenty of tables that hadn’t been cleared away either… so we like to try something new / new place because we do eat out a lot, but WE WONT coming back to this place, the only lovely thing was the location we sat on the patio over looking the lake…. (It should just be the hotels cafe)

We found the menu (lunch in this case) to be very limited, basic and therefore disappointing. We had made a booking because of the great location, nice deck and view but walked out after we looked at the menu unfortunately. Would have been good to have steak and pastas on the menu to add a bit more variety.

This is the second time I have been there and each time the service has been wonderful and very prompt. Each of the each were professional and always had smiles on the faces and had a warm welcome.

My husband is coeliac (requires a gluten free meal), so I booked this venue based on their gluten free menu selection or food that could be made gluten free. Unfortunately when he went to order, nearly everything came with chips, which are not gluten free when cooked. He ended up with a grilled fish, but to add insult to this, was made to pay extra for ordering mash potato, otherwise he got a piece of grilled fish and a small side salad, and still pay the same amount. Will not be recommending this venue for anyone with coelics, or going back again ourselves.
