    Het restaurant ziet er mooi uit. Het eten is oké, maar niet bijzonder lekker. Service was dramatisch. Zeer onvriendelijk personeel waar geen lachje vanaf kon. Wij wilde er zo snel mogelijk wel.

    Tuna tartare very good, swordfish main good but the chips were forgotten and had to be asked for. Seafood risotto quite good, needed a bit of garlic or onions at least (IMHO), I had to ask for fingerbowl which I shouldn’t have had to. No problem with quantity and variety of fish.

    Friendly and efficient service. Fish tartare starter was pricey but lacked any nuance of flavour. Main of pasta carbonara was probably the worst I have ever tasted. An over-salted watery thin yellow sauce interspersed with over-cooked pancetta strips/chunks that struggled to stick to the over cooked tagliatelle pasta. Never tasted anything like this in Italy! Cheapest bottle of red wine £44. £85 each in total. I’ll be sticking to the fantastic Rocca di Papa in Dulwich where I could get three authentic meals for the price of one aberration here. Pity no one bothered to ask if we enjoyed our meal. Never again.

    The food was extraordinary!! So delicious and just perfect! I had the truffle tagliatelle and my friend the pizza vegetariana and it was really the best tagliatelle with truffle and pizza we ever had!!!! The ambiance was also very nice and chic. We felt very comfortable. The only thing I have to address is, that we kind of not felt welcomed somehow. Originally we reserved for 4 ppl and 2 of us didn’t make it on short notice. So I even called upfront and told them!!! And already on the telephone I had the impression that they didn’t even write it down or sth. So we arrived and they still thought we re gonna be 4. so I told them again that 2 of us unfortunately won’t make it and that I called and that I am sorry. And the woman at the front desk already didn’t look to happy about that. Rather quiete annoyed. So at least they let us sit down anyway and we could eat and enjoy our evening and food. But also the waiter at our table wasn’t like as nice as I would expect in such a restaurant. Idk why but we felt like we were not treated as welcoming and appreciative as we expected. For instance he brought our food and started to grind cheese over my pasta without first asking me if I want cheese. Which was fine for me at first but then he didn’t stop until I had a pile of cheese on it. Which in the moment was also fine, I am not that picky. But then he told me in a quite rude way that I have to say stop (otherwise he would still be grinding?!) anyways it felt a bit like they thought we didn’t belong there or something. Other than that we can really recommend the restaurant when you dont have sudden changes of plans and just want to enjoy the excellent food and ambiance!!

    I recently dined at Bocconcino Soho, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. The meal began with cold, garlicky broccoli that tasted stale and unappealing, as if it had been sitting out for hours. The spinach was clearly microwaved, resulting in a limp, soggy texture that completely lacked flavor. The sea bass, which I was hoping would redeem the meal, was full of massive bones, making it nearly impossible to eat. It was obvious that care and attention were not priorities in the preparation. To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns with the manager, instead of offering an apology, I was told, “That’s how fish is served in a restaurant.” The dismissive response was shocking and showed a complete lack of regard for customer feedback or satisfaction. Overall, the food and service left a lot to be desired. With such poor preparation and an unprofessional attitude, I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    It doesn’t compare to the original Bocconcino branch in Berkeley st where the food is always top notch and the service impeccable. The parpadelle with wild boar ragu was completely different, watery and cold. The sauce was tasteless. I had on in the other branch, and it was out of this world. The vitello tonato had nothing to do with the one I usually have in the other branch too. The sauce was just mayonnaise. Tasteless.

    Very disappointed. This was my first time at this restaurant and my friends and I were really looking forward to it. We weren't even there for 2 hours and we were told to vacate the table. Our meal was abruptly ended. We weren't given any notice by the reception staff or on booking. Very disappointed.
