“Arguably the best oyster bar of any white tablecloth restaurant in New Orleans” per the Times-Picayune, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House is all about local seafood. If it’s not in season, you won’t find it on the menu. Enjoy authentic New Orleans dishes and oysters on the half-shell in a lively atmosphere overlooking Bourbon Street.

Dickie Brennan and his culinary team have created an incredible menu of classic New Orleans dishes complemented by new favorites. Signature favorites include Gulf fish on the Halfshell and New Orleans style Barbeque Shrimp.

Bourbon is a central focus at the bar with 200 bourbons on the list. Bourbon House is the perfect place for a specialty cocktail or a straight pour of that hard to find small-batch whiskey.

Our table was brought multiple items we didn’t order. When we got our food, 1.5 hours later, it was cold. We’ve eaten in the bar area many times and had a great experience. Last night was very disappointing.

Nice place for non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Try the frozen bourbon milk punch. It's heavenly!

We came for Thanksgiving dinner. Our waiter was very courteous and provided several recommendations. We ordered from the Thanksgiving menu, which was delicious! We also had the muffaletta flatbread and blackened gulf fish (it was barracuda for us) which was flaky and tender. Would recommend all of it!

We have previously had good experiences at Bourbon House but diappapointed by the mediocre quality of the food and so-so service. Our soup was tepid and the flavor off. The waitress was contradicted herself when asked about the menu being al a carte or if the dish came with side dishes. I also had to remind her to bring the drinks we ordered. The waitress was personable but service, attention and food was not up the quality we have prevoulsy experienced there. For the price, the dining should been more memorable..

Amazing food. Server was very kind. We had both thanksgiving meals (turkey and ham) and shared as well as charbroiled oysters and the Pechauds (sp) bourbon cocktail who he as delicious. A great experience.

The food was disappointing. We started with the Shrimp and Crabmeat Boudin Balls. Not much flavor. We also had the Crab Claws which was excellant. Gumbo was disappointing. Then we had the Stuffed fish with Mirliton, Sbrimp and Grits and Shrimp and Fish Platter. The Ahrimp and Fish Platter was by far the best.

Bourbon Street cocktail was interesting; not quite what I expected, but tasty. Crab Claws Bordelaise, Bourbon Glazed Shrimp, Stuffed Gulf Fish, and Alligator Rigatoni were all excellent. Our server, Katie B., was excellent; very knowledgeable and friendly.
