My husband and I frequently visit bourbon 72 when we are having a casino night. My husband walked into bourbon 72 at 8:45 p.m. on a Saturday night and asked if he could have a reservation for 9 p.m. or later, he was told by the lady at the desk that they are booked for the rest of the evening and he would be unable to reserve a table. When my husband came back out to the casino to tell me that he could not get a reservation Even though he remarked that there were hardly any full tables in there at all. I immediately opened up OpenTable where I was able to book a 9:00 reservation online. When we were in there for our 9:00 reservation, we noticed that the lady at the front counter (same person that told my husband they were booked up for the evening), kept coming into the dining area and collecting candles and flipping over glasses like they were in a hurry to close. The dinner was okay but not to the standards that it used to be. The server was fine. No complaints with him. But the ambiance for a dinner at a restaurant that closes at 10 p.m. and the hostess seemed as though she was more worried about getting stuff off the empty tables to close, which quite honestly made us feel rushed, was a bit annoying.

Very good meal, lobster bisque was more broth than a creamy bisque that I would expect and very small pieces of lobster in it. Walleye was very tasty and our server Nate was great.

We had the Parmesan encrusted Whitefish and it was delicious. Carrot cake was very good. Service was perfect in every way as usual.

Ordered a 4oz filet, it took 3 attempts and 40 minutes to get it right. I ordered a $68 ribeye that was not good either. We’ve had better meals at a chain steak house for half the price. We will never go back.

Service and ambiance was great! Food was ok. The appetizers were very good (calamari). The dinner itself was just ok. I ordered the filet which was good but the sides were very disappointing. It came with steamed vegetables with no flavor or salt. Also, the baked potatoes were very bland. Once again no salt. I would go be willing to go back and try something else. I just feel for the cost, all of the food should be 5 star.

Food was delicious, service was outstanding. Claire was our server, she was very knowledgeable and attentive. Three meals ordered. Everything was prepared perfectly. Filet Gnocchi Black and Blue pasta (special) Wedge salads Brussels sprouts Justin Cabernet Vegetable& and baked potato Seating hostess was friendly and accommodating Wonderful experience over all.

The food was wonderful, my free birthday dessert was delicious, and the ambience is fabulous. All waitstaff were neatly groomed, professionally dressed, and well spoken. Service was fast, but not rushed. The experience was wonderful and I would totally recommend.
