The Brigantine is more than just home to some of San Diego’s finest seafood. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike come to share a lively atmosphere and authentic sense of community. The Morton family opened the first Brigantine on Shelter Island in 1969, with a vision that embraced the beach town lifestyle, a dedication to flavorful food, and a passion for friendly service.

Today, we’re known far and wide for our San Diego-style surf and turf. From our award-winning fish tacos and freshly shucked oysters, to classic filet mignon or our perpetually best-selling marinated grilled swordfish. Always prepared to exceed expectations, and served with a smile. Our server, Max, was the absolute best. Food and cocktails were awesome. My Chicago cousins were very impressed.

Food was excellent and arrived timely Had a window seat by bay and even though it was dark it felt nice.. the big bay scallops were to die for. I love calamari but I’ve had better though it was ok. The mud cake was huge and could have been shared and my daughter had cheese cake ! Thank god we had to walk to hotel to work some of it off!

Excellent food and service! We got a great view of the ocean with our reservation table outside. We enjoyed our spectacular Portside view, great experience specially in the first day of the year New Year’s Day 2025 !!! Thanks 🙏🏻

Food was very good. I loved the shrimp and lobster fondu was delicious. Our serverBrandon was kind and great worker. I was disappointed that they were out of Yuzu.

Great place for NYE dinner. No prefixe menu. Seated reasonably quick within reservation. Accommodated custom order for 8 yr old child. Food was excellent and nice vibe on the water. Looking forward to coming back when the weather warms.
