   My wife and I had dinner with friends at Brothers Grimm, out third time there. Food was good, service friendly but the restaurant was almost empty. Was it because it was a Wednesday?

   Best ceviche I have ever had. The Smoked old fashioned was spectacular. The game meat pie crust was delicious, the inside was not a good assortment of game meats, very organ tasting and mostly mushrooms.

   We were very impressed with our experience at Brother's Grimm. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the delicious cocktails! Not to mention the food - everything was over the top. We had the Steak et Frites Fromage and the Cornish Game Hen... both were incredible. The flavours make my mouth water thinking about it! We just had to finish it off with the Miloha and we were further delighted with the texture and flavours of that dessert. Thank you for everything - we will absolutely be back!

   Overall, we would dine again at Brother’s Grimm because the atmosphere was outstanding-very cozy and inviting, despite the overall service missing the mark on those two qualities. While we loved the place and the food, our service (not only our waitress, but everyone who was working), was just a bit less personable and warm than you would expect from walking into such an inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was highly professional and knowledgeable, but lacked any interest in making it a personalized experience for us. We started with the brussels, which I wouldn’t get again and have had better in several other restaurants. Everything else (sausage board and pork belly) were amazing! Food quality and presentation were impressive, but value was something that might prevent us from choosing this restaurant again. Loved the atmosphere, vibe and original menu! Will most likely go back.

   It was Valentines Day so very busy! They had live jazz music which was such a nice touch and each table had flowers and little heart candies and they gave us a glass of Prosecco to toast. The servers were very busy but we didn't mind since we were in good company. The food was good and tasty but the overall feel of the building couldn't be matched and I was in love with the little touches. Best part of the dinner was the dessert for me but I know my partner seemed to love his main dish and the experience with the prawns. Overall a lovely experience for a first valentines and we will definitely be back again :)

   It was Valentines Day. The table was decorated nicely and they had live music. Though we were 5 minutes early, they seated us right away. The friendly staff provided free prosecco and a little funky starter. Felt like it was going to be a great evening. However, things fell apart after that. One of our drinks came in a broken glass. It took 10 minutes to flag a staff member down. They seemed to all be frazzled and not prepared for how full the restaurant was. Our beautiful looking appetizer came out promptly but we had no side dishes. Server said she would get some. We waited 15 minutes and then asked the bartender for some. He directed a waitress to bring some over but still took another 10 minutes. By that time our food was cold and we had to send it back. The new one was quite good. Our mains once they arrived were plated great though were quite undercooked and had little flavor. All this for a $200 bill, didn't seem worth it.

   Our first visit, but will not be our last. Not your average men, which made it a unique experience. Very friendly staff and great service.
