Buona Forchetta started in 2011 as a craving of Matteo’s to bring some of his native Italy to our adopted home of South Park. We found the perfect corner and built the perfect oven. Since then, we’ve strived to deliver an exceptional and authentic Italian experience to our customers keeping our focus on the simple recipes that Matteo grew up on. We owe a huge “grazie” to our neighbors who have joined us on this awesome journey, and we hope that you will continue to be part of our story.

The fresh pasta with garlic, evoo, and porcini mushrooms was very good, not exceptional, but good. The ambiance and service was another matter. We cook a lot at home, and so when we go out, it is important to have a good overall experience worth going out for. We were seated at a table that wobbled so badly that I thought the glasses would fall off. There were pizza boxes stacked precariously close behind me. We asked for another table, but the waiter said he would "just fix the table,"and wedged a bit of wine cork under the table leg, which my husband had to keep readjusting during the entire meal. The waiter was the epitome of indifference. The new normal, perhaps?

I was very disappointed with our experience here. I made a reservation for a birthday. I did a lot of research as one of the main guests has celiac disease. The restaurant said that they had a gluten free menu with gluten free pasta options. I called to confirm. When we received the menus, the server told us that they could not accommodate us. He said that all of the gluten free items were cooked in the same water as the items with gluten. The pizza is cooked on the same pans as the regular pizza. We told him that we had researched and called ahead. He said that was too bad. He would let the kitchen know of her "preference" after she had just told him the seriousness of her condition. She ended up ordering the broccoli and potatoes. She also ended up being sick. She is home today dealing with her "preference". I'm so disappointed in this restaurant and this server.

It’s a birthday celebration so it was unfortunate that nothing special happened. Not sure if it’s the lack of communication on our part or no one acknowledged the note on the reservation. Before departing the restaurant, on the other side of the restaurant you can hear a birthday celebration going on. First time here and a so so experience.

Love the food here! Sat at the enclosed outdoor patio. Lost a star due to multiple servers forgetting to provide the complimentary bread despite being asked. Good spot for families

We were seated outside, which was a bit chilly, but overall a comfortable experience. Our server was excellent as was the food.

Extremely unpleasant dining experience. Service was lack luster. We only saw our server when he first took our order and then to drop off our check- in which we had to get up to find someone to help us pay, we could’ve walked out and no one would have noticed. No check backs, no basic steps of service. We had to get up to ask for multiple basic items- salt, pepper and water. We were celebrating a special occasion and were disappointed with the outcome of our experience. We will not be going back. This restaurant used to be good but even the food was mediocre on our visit. Management should be ashamed, and needs to retrain their staff to be more than just order takers. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years, and if I let my staff perform this way I would reevaluate what I am doing with my business and career.
