   An excellent neighbor spot. We love the vibe of the dining room, the presentation and taste of the dishes, and the attentive professional staff. We have only one gripe; we wish there were a few more choices. Thank you for being a part of Newton.

   From the moment we walked in and were greeted by a friendly host, to the very end when our server warmly thanked us for coming, the evening was delightful. We never waited for service, but we also didn't feel rushed. We enjoyed our wine and app (the burrata was amazing); then our main course arrived and proved to be delicious. I loved the medium rare steak frites and my husband loved the risotto--nothing was left on our plates at the end. It was enjoyable and delicious. The location was clean and charming. I can't recommend it enough!

   We were thrilled with our dinner at Buttonwood. We were in Newton for the night before a funeral and it was pouring rain. We had hoped to find a cozy neighborhood bistro and hit the jackpot! The service was impeccable, the menu was spot on and the burger was delicious. You can't go wrong with Buttonwood.

   Swordfish and chicken under a brick were outstanding as was the banana bread pudding and our server. We always love Buttonwood.

    The mussels were sublime, the only constructive comment I would add is that a baguette would have been a great addition to sop up the delicious sauce! The burrata appetizer was also delicious. Next time we'll leave room for dessert.
