                                                                      I really like this place and have taken groups here before but tonight was a huge disappointment. We arrived at 5:50pm and it must have gotten busy but by 7:30 we were already done with two bottles of wine and had no food. I took almost an hour for someone to even take our initial order. Black truffle rice still one of my favorites, along with the short rib kebab, halloumi and half roasted chicken.

                                                                      Nice place to be on a cold rainy November evening! Service is knowledgeable and friendly. Food was good with high marks to the fried eggplant and crispy shrimp. The harissa half roast chicken was a generous portion, moist but a tad over seasoned with the dry rub which we found gritty and a tad too hot! Ambiance is warm and welcoming. Will be back. Great place for a pre-theatre meal.

                                                                      Byblos excelled at the ambiance with cozy lighting and clean lines....and it stopped there. Our food was just mid. Nothing great. Both the lamb rib starter and the short rib kebab were COVERED in a sesame seed flavoring which rendered them overwhelming. Both my husband and I arrived hungry, but did not finish either as the seasoning was overwhelming and hard to taste the meat. In addition, the kebab was not a kebab but a small slice of short rib. The food was a step below okay, but the prices reflected that I should have been delighted. Cute spot if you want to be trendy, but pass if you're looking for a delicious dinner.

                                                                      One of our favorite restaurants when we visit Toronto to catch a show. Everything is absolutely delicious, and based on our notes left when we booked on line our waiter took the time to proactively explain what on the menu corresponded to our food intolerances - Very nice touch. Service is impeccable and ambiance is very relaxed. Will be visiting again for sure.
