Great experience at Cala Luna. Bread was brought to the table with caponata. Both were very good. Our party of three had the chicken francese, paparadelle bolognese and the hay and straw. All of us tried each other’s dishes and one was better than the next. For dessert, we had a Napoleon which we shared, that was light and flaky, and enjoyed by all. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, I look forward to returning to Cala Luna!

Delicious food plated beautifully. Service is definitely on point. All were happy with their choices - Shrimp Ajillo, Hunter Chicken and Pappardelle Bolognese. Dessert was a shared flourless chocolate cake. A very hectic night handled very well by staff.

The reviews are excellent. Cala Luna restaurant & bar had me intrigued from the start. Located in Mineola, this quaint, unassuming restaurant looks like it’s been part of the neighborhood for years. I should know. I worked here under its former name, Nicks Tuscan Grill. Nonna’s Veal Meatballs are served as a trio with fradiavlo sauce. Exceptional. The Cala Luna Chop salad included a delicious creamy white truffle dressing, portion size was small (I did order the “main” size, app size available for $4 less) Next time, I would add a protein(available at an additional $8-$12) Cala Luna emerged in Mineola during a time of great revitalisation. Modern and innovative retail space, housing, and new dining experiences have given this small town a face lift it absolutely deserves. The thing about face lifts is that it’s what’s underneath that still counts. Underneath this new facade, Mineola boasts its impressive LIRR terminal, NYU Langone hospital, and the Nassau County Supreme Court. Cala Luna is a wonderful option for a Family or a first date. It is also Robertdink APPROVED.

We love this Gem. The food is simply delicious. The service is outstanding and their drinks are strong! We go here a lot. They have a variety of items and we love it. If I remember I’ll take photos next time.
