Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown. In 2022, Callie was acclaimed as one of America's top new restaurants by Esquire and Robb Report, and received both a Bib Gourmand and a Plate from the Michelin Guide. Callie is a dedicated supporter of Feeding San Diego, having contributed over 1 million meals to those in need in San Diego since its launch. Swikard is set to open his second restaurant in La Jolla in 2025.

    Our parking garage is located in the building, but because of the one way streets downtown, the entrance is on 11th Avenue between J St and Island Ave, on the right. The parking garage has a sign '1155 Parking' over top and is through LAZ. For security purposes, the gate will be down when you pull up, you will press the kiosk for a ticket. Once you've parked, take the elevators in the center up to the lobby and be sure to get your ticket validated by a host. Validation is good up to three hours.

    Mediterranean Feast - Parties of 7 & 8 For the ultimate dining experience, choose The Mediterranean Feast, a 5-course, family-style menu priced at $80 per guest. This menu, curated by Chef Travis Swikard, provides a full culinary journey from spreads to dessert. While the Feast is required for parties of 7 or 8, it is also available to all guests without advance notice. When booking, please let us know of any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate them. To secure your reservation, a credit card is needed, but no charge will apply unless you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not show up. In those cases, a $10 per guest fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

    💐 MADE FOR MOM 💝 This Mother's Day, treat the women who do it all to a brunch that’s all about them. We’re serving up classic favorites with a signature Callie twist — think warm vibes, delicious dishes, and moments worth remembering. We will be offering a 4 course shared family style brunch menu priced at $85 per adult, and a 2 course children's menu for children 10 and under priced at $45 per child. Please note that only the Mother's Day Brunch menu will be offered on this day; a la carte dining will not be available. Please inquire about any dietary restrictions. No-shows or cancellations less than 1 day in advance may be subject to a charge of $10 per person. Tax, 20% service charge, and 4% surcharge will be added to all checks.

    We've eaten at this restaurant at least five times in recent months, and it has been flawless. My advice is to let yourselves be guided by the servers, who are expert at recommending dishes and quantities, as well as beverages. It's almost impossible to single out individual dishes for mention because every single one has been fantastic. I guess if I had to pick one, it would be the fresh fish. My husband would probably pick the lamb chops. But the chicken is not to be missed. The roasted beets, the carrots, the hummus -- they're all so good. The bartenders are true artists. Love this place.

    Such a nice experience dining in at Callie! Everyone who served us was nice and professional, & food came quick! It tasted great & presentation was beautiful! You can tell they really care about the quality of the food and not just being a fancy restaurant. Bit pricey but worth it. Definitely a go-to.

    The food was amazing but unfortunately the service did not live up to my expectations. My reservation was at 8 and we were not seated until 8:30 pm when I asked what the hold up was the hostess stated my entire party had to be there which we were but we were never asked, when I clarified we were all there she stated well you should have told me. While checking I saw her accept cash from a patron who was looking for a table. I don’t know what the outcome was of that interaction was but it was very unprofessional. After being seated the food started coming out around 9. It definitely set my whole evening back. I made the reservation a month in advance so was disappointed that for a party of 7 with plenty of anticipation they could not have a table ready for us.

    Love this restaurant! This was our 6th visit or so, we have brought friends who raved about the food and we have enjoyed it as well every time. Last night the duck egg omelette was the stand-out dish. Fluffy and creamy at the same time with many intricate flavors. It compelled us to elevate our own attempts at breakfast the following morning. We scrounged in our own pantry in order to find some new and more memorable way to crack an egg…Callie’s is inspiring. Checking our calendar now for our next visit….

    From start to finish everything was amazing. Our server Kevin was great, assisted by Marsalis we were very well taken care of. Food wise, we did the Mediterranean Feast, which included all of Callie’s greatest hits. Also added a truffle caci e pepi, what a perfect bowl of pasta, a must. If you save room the Turkish rice pudding is off the charts in comfort and taste. All in all, an incredible experience.

    Amazing as always! Been coming here since they opened and it never disappoints. We have celebrated many birthdays and events here. My dad’s 50th, my husbands birthday. Always amazing food service etc. Chef Travis and his team are superior. We love it!
