   Excellent evening at Canggio. We had a small group and really felt well taken care of. We started with Pisco Sours - YUM! We had the yucca fries, Spanish mussels and empanadas. All delicious. Yucca fries nicely seasoned and crisp with the green ají sauce, the mussels were sweet and delicious in their creamy sauce with plenty of bread for dipping, the empanadas were crispy pillows full of savory filling. For entrees we had the Peruvian Paealla, full of seafood and a delicious rice and veggie base-the chicken chaufa, delicious and delicate and filling- and the bistecca, perfectly cooked flank steak with rice and sauce. Wrapped up with a dessert of sweet potato and pumpkin donuts in a maple glaze. The waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable and delightful. The ambiance is fun and colorful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

   Canggio’s is a great find. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Drinks, apps, entrees and dessert were all outstanding. You have to try this gem hidden in Norwich!!We will definitely be going back!

   Chef Julio always makes the most delicious food! The servers really know the menu and they’re all willing to answer questions and even tweak things for you. I was able to get an appetizer as a pasta dinner. It was amazing!!! Cool vibes, not noisy, everyone that works there has a smile on their face. Highly recommend!

   Canggio is a hidden gem in Norwich! We had the brunch menu today and were very satisfied with the selections! The brunch is reasonably priced and food quality was excellent (as we always expect). Highly recommended!

   The food here is fabulous! Presentation is great but the taste is even better. Large portions. I was planning to take pictures of my food, but was so excited to begin eating, I completely forgot until we were leaving! A very polite young man opened the door to welcome us in, seated us right away, and got our water. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and happy to offer suggestions and answer questions. I was looking forward to some flan, and disappointed that it is not being offered at this time, but the churros with the maple cherry ice cream was a great hit with all three of us. We loved the Pisco Sours, which is a traditional Peruvian cocktail. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, and we are looking forward to going back when they open their al fresco dining outdoors.

   Warm atmosphere, well appointed. Not crowded or rushed. Attentive staff (thank you, Jared!) Our food arrived quickly. My sister and I shared the ceviche trio, the mussels, and the Peruvian paella. It was all beautifully served. I don’t think I would order the paella again as it was missing that crunchy crisp rice on the bottom of the pan and the squid in the dish was overcooked. The ceviches were all delish and mussels were perfect with a rich broth that we literally spooned up. We were passing through the area and took a chance with a yelp search. I’d love to go back and try more of their wonderful items!

   Had a great meal with great service. We both had a seafood main course and after eating all we could, there was enough leftover for us to have lunch the next day. Especially nice was the wine list. It was not extensive, but covered all the basics and was very reasonably priced. If you save some appetite for dessert and the chocolate cake is still on the menu, it is amazing. The flavor is extremely rich w/o the cake being heavy. An amazing combination.

    We had such a fantastic dinner tonight. We went for brunch a few weeks ago and that alone convinced us to try dinner. It blew us away! Not only was our server amazing and the hostess that sat us knew which reservation we were, but then the food started coming. Our server was well knowledgeable about the food and drinks and that alone is worth raving about. But this chef - Julio - is the real deal. Every single course that we had was beyond reproach. We hope to hire this chef for private dining and our own events! In short - if you even think you might wanna try this place…. YOU DO!!!!
