Heritage and innovation merge with menu selections such as Santa Rosa Barbacoa and Mexico City Enchiladas for lunch, and Carne Asada and Pollo Mole Poblano for dinner. Our bar features a wide variety of beers, wines, cocktails, and fresh margaritas and guests can sample one of more than 50 fine-aged, authentic tequilas.

As the only restaurant located along the canal-front in The Venetian and The Palazzo, Cañonita offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Grand Canal, with waterfront views of the resort's famous singing gondoliers. Outside, our Street Taqueria food truck recreates an essential element of Mexico City's culinary and cultural landscape, featuring a variety of street foods and house-infused margaritas.

Our server was the sole bright spot in our dinner, she was personable and efficient. But this restaurant has gone downhill over the years, food is bland and uninspired, had to send my margarita back because it was all bottled mix, no other ingredients. Replaced with sangria which tasted like mango puree, no evidence of wine. I’ve been dropping in since Canonita opened years ago, back then the stuffed chile relleno was a signature dish and people waited for a table because everything was so good. Now, it’s empty. Spend for a new chef, you desperately need it!

We had a great time. First time at Cañonita and we all enjoyed the location, service and food. Definitely recommend and we’ll come back when in Vegas.

The fajitas here are delicious with flavorful beef and tender chicken. However the Mar Y Tierra was just okay, with pork carnitas that were rather tough, but perfectly cooked scallops. The chips and salsa here are with thick chips that aren’t as satisfying to bite into. The service was pretty good and we sat near the canal, so overall a good experience.

Great overall experience at this restaurant. The location was not crowded and we were seated near the canal so we could view the gondolas passing by. The food was very good. The service was also very good. The only complaint was that the food was somewhat expensive for what was received, but this seems to be the overall direction that the Las Vegas Strip has been heading.

Food was just okay. We won’t go back. Service was average even though waiter was very friendly. Chips were also thick and not crispy.
