Welcome to Casa Bella. Located in historic Downtown Ventura. Traditional steakhouse cuisine with innovative twists.                                                                                                                                 The atmosphere of this downtown Ventura restaurant is very upscale. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as when we last went there. Maybe we went on an off night, so we will try it again sometime.

                                                                                                                                We were in Ventura to get out of the way of the Pasadena fire and we parked and walked in and they took great care of us and served us some amazing food. We also got to watch the Notre Dame game. It has a really nice feel..

                                                                                                                                Horrible I made reservations in plenty of time and they literally sat us at the bar saying they have no place for us. And then the tried to seat us at another table with another party. Insane I felt.. so I took my date and walked out.

                                                                                                                                We were celebrating my husband 75th B.D. our server Mike was very pleasant. He listened to all requests. He answered all our questions and suggested substitutions when needed. He treated our 9 year old great granddaughter like an adult, helping her to find the right entree for dinner. The food was wonderful. The Sea Bass melted in the mouth. It was a perfect experience for my husband birthday.

                                                                                                                                Made a reservation on November 15 for Christmas dinner. We arrived promptly at 6 PM which was the time of our reservation. A large crowd was gathered around the entrance to the restaurant. We checked in and were told that they were way behind and hadn't even begun to seat 5:45 reservations. I hate to wait in any kind of line; that is why I make a reservation. In this case, it was Christmas dinner, so we offered to sit at the bar. We were told that there was no room inside the restaurant and we would have to stand outside with the rest of the people and wait until a table became available. It is hard for me to understand that a restaurant that apparently regularly takes reservations could fall so far behind on such an important night for their customers. Fortunately for us, there was a Thai restaurant next door to Casa that was open. We were greeted by the employee at the counter who wished us a Merry Christmas and apologized that our to go order would take twenty minutes because they were busy. The food came out on time and we marched back to our hotel room to enjoy our food. Another Christmas memory-- Thai food for Christmas in a hotel room in Ventura. This is probably not the memory the Casa wanted us to have, but, hey, I probably saved over $100!

                                                                                                                                Great place for the Christmas holiday but request inside seating away from bar area. They were working really hard but between the music and the plates and glasses getting tossed around it was hard to hear each other. Much quieter seating behind. Pricey but you get large portions and will be quite satisfied. Waitstaff and everyone were top notch despite how busy it was. Drinks on point.

This time I went on Christmas and the service was terrible. Took forever to get water, then a drink, then to even order. He was too busy to check on us, I flagged him down to order a second drink and it never came. When we were done, I told him to cancel the drink and he said he never ordered it without an apology. Food was great as always

                                                                                                                                This was our 3rd Christmas dinner there. This time it didn’t matter that we had a reservation. Our only choice was to sit at the bar, or outside. It was very cold outside. The heaters helped but when the breeze picked up we were shivering. Our food got cold very quickly. Despite being served by the “manager” our service was not great. He seemed annoyed at times with our questions and what we ordered. Service was slow with long waits between courses. It was also overbooked and over crowded!
