I am usually lucky if I chose a restaurant that shows a cozy atmosphere, waiters in white jackets and white table linens. Not this time. Bright lights, no ambience music, mediocre food, rushed service. Oh, no white jackets. This ended up to be very touristy and impersonal with food that could have come from a chain restaurant. Thankfully, my only bad dining experience this trip. Ok. And I’m Italian and maybe a bit more biased than the usual diner.

2nd year in a row we brought a huge party before the marathon and we were again over the moon with the experience. 20 people, never waited for a drink, all the food came out at the same time. Love it there!!!!

Amazing. Will visit everytime we are in NYC. We were recommended by my husbands grandfather who visited for 20/30 years and we can see why! The food was fantastic, the staff members did everything possible for us. The atmosphere was brilliant and you genuinely feel like you have stepped into Italy! If you are thinking of booking just do it!’

The food was very low quality. It seems that when new management took over in 2021, part of the changes they made were to use lower quality ingredients with a focus on cost saving. The dishes we had (carbonara, bolognese, and puttanesca) were all bland and unappetizing. For example, carbonara typically uses egg yolk and Parmesan which aren’t cheap ingredients and the carbonara sauce we had was tasteless, pasty and smelled like glue. The carbonara sauce clearly had tons of flour added to thicken it, which is obviously a cost saving trick. It was very sad that we spent one of our few evenings in the city and lots of money at this restaurant. I regret going. I would recommend going elsewhere
