Mónica Patiño and Micaela Miguel share a neighborhood lifestyle in a casual and family dining room, with simple, seasonal, direct and unpretentious food.
Remembering her grandmother's meals in Colonia Roma, Mónica Patiño, creates a “Roman” menu where dishes are served in the center of the table to share as we would at home.
It is about sharing and living around a good meal.
At Casa Virginia we are interested in highlighting the importance of the origin of the products and the producers. We want to convey an awareness of what we consume and how we consume it, therefore, we seek to supply ourselves with raw materials from small national suppliers.

Casa Virginia is my new favorite restaurant in Mexico. The calming and stunning interior immediately transports you to the beginning of the last century and makes for an oasis in a loud and bustling city. Every member of staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. And the food! The food is mouthwatering and full of flavor, and it speaks to the eyes and well as to the stomach. I enjoyed a range of delights from tender sea bass to the most scrumptious asparagus and beyond, and my only disappointment was that I had no room for dessert. I’ll be sure to visit Casa Virginia at least once on every trip to Mexico City and I would urge you to do the same and enjoy the culinary magic of Mónica Patiño. Very accessable dishes and interesting playing, such as confit huitlacoche with burrata presented on the cob, kernals removed at the table. Served with tortillas. Great opportunity to share Mexican ingredients with a first time visitor.

This was a special night--my birthday dinner with my partner. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was fantastic. Lots of strong flavors in surprising and gorgeous combinations. The service was perfect. Everything was perfect.

I was excited to take my fiance to a celebration dinner last night at Casa Virginia after proposing to her earlier in the day. Our dining experience was memorably awful. The service was a disaster, lacking both attention and experience. On multiple occasions, our waiter, seemingly completely inexperienced, forgot requests we had just told him. The staff seemed completely lost. Our main dishes were cold, prompting us to leave our dinner early without finishing our entrees (Sea Bass and Risotto). We asked that the food be wrapped up and packaged so we could then take it home to reheat. After paying the bill and asking multiple times for our packaged up food, we were forced to awkwardly stand in the main area of the restaurant having to again ask multiple times for our food which was now seemingly missing. In a panic, the staff hurried to package up something while laughing in our faces. I have since tried to contact the restaurant and have not received any response. Their email address does not work. Needless to say, this is all extremely disappointing for a meal that was over $2600 MXN. There are far better options throughout Mexico City where the quality of the food and staff are reflective of the prices they charge.

Got there early before the evening crowd came in. It was very atmospheric, and we loved our service. The food was good, but nothing crazy for the price. Risotto can be done better. Overall, perfect for a date with your loved one.

Pedí en la reservación una mesa agradable y en un área de menos ruido y nos dieron la mesa menos cómoda a lado de una mesa muy grande con mucho ruido. Lástima. La comida deliciosa.

Our first time at Casa Virginia and we loved it. It was our best dining experience in CDMX. Everything from the greeting to the seating to the friendly service (especially telling us we’d ordered to much) to the food and Mexican wine was perfect. Definitely will return on our next trip.

AMAZING dinner, our favorite that we had in Mexico City. The staff was so kind and attentive, and they gave us complimentary dessert and champagne for our anniversary. Loved this spot.
