Cheese & Bread: A Taste of Georgia in Norwalk

Cheese & Bread is a new casual neighborhood eatery specializing in authentic Georgian cuisine. We offer a unique dining experience with delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and live music.

**Our menu features:**

* **Traditional Georgian dishes:** Khachapuri (stuffed bread), khinkali (dumplings), kupati sausage, meat and fish kebabs, chakapuli veal stew, and ojakhuri fried potato with meat and onions.
* **Full bar:** Beer, wine, and spirits, including an extensive Georgian wine list.

First time eating Georgian. Quite good. Menu is mostly a la carte, so the roasted Cornish game hen in creamy garlic sauce, while very good, did not come with anything else - veggies, nothing, nothing to absorb the garlicky sauce.

Return visitors. Food as always great. Service was good. It is always little chilly, but this time was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant, with some patrons in their coats which really doesn't fit otherwise quite upscale experience.

Me and my girlfriend went here for valentines day 2025 and they had such a great choice in food and a great ambiance for couples night out! Would definitely recommend!

Food was great but overpriced. Service and overall atmosphere were very good, but the music was quite loud. When we were there they had a limited menu that was not posted anywhere online. I have dietary restrictions and could only eat two things on the menu (neither of which were main dishes), which would have been helpful to know beforehand. We do plan on going back again to try their regular menu, as the food was excellent and it's exciting to have Georgian food near us!

We enjoyed our first dining experience there very much. The staff were attentive and nice, the menu has lots of variety, influenced by the different cultures and history, as Georgia was a cross road. The tableware such as wine glass, etc are sophisticated.

The food was excellent. The ambiance is great for a date night, and overall the price was very reasonable. Exciting to have great Georgian food like we used to get in NYC close by!

Cheese & Bread Restaurant Norwalk CT Worst dining experience ever! Went to Cheese and Bread this past Saturday night to celebrate the engagement of our daughter with her in-laws who were visiting from China. We were a party of seven. Upon being seated at 7:15, our waiter told us they were short staffed and running slow. With that in mind we ordered our appetizers, drinks, and dinner entrees all at once to help speed the process. For the next two hours food arrived out of order and sporadically and by 9:30 we were still waiting on three entrees and two appetizers. In two instances entrees without their included sides arrived before the remaining appetizer. We decided to leave at 9:30 as part of our party needed to return to New York City. It then took another 20 minutes for the waiter to get approval to remove entrees from our bill that we did not receive. During this whole time only our waiter came to apologize for the poor service. In the end we spent over $300 for a disastrous and embarrassing dining experience.

Once I walked through the door I could feel the ambiance and the wonderful atmosphere. The service was so upscale, I was so pleased with the help they delivered. The food itself was absolutely delightful and never had Georgian food before but for my first time it was jaw dropping. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new restaurant to try.
