Coming from Asia; this place was expensive and i didnt get what i paid for, very bland tasting dimsum and unmemorable experience.

This place was a good find. Very cute and traditional Cantonese restaurant located on a pleasant road in Lancaster Gate. When we went the restaurant had been decked out for the Chinese New Year and was a riot of colour with red lanterns and Chinese new year decorations. Very classy chairs as well, with lovely real marble tables. The owner, Michelle, was charming and helped with us with our orders. Even the chef came out and spoke to us. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food is traditional Cantonese with an emphasis on dim sum and different types of Chinese tea. We also had the crispy fried duck with pancakes and salt and pepper fried seafood, which was very nice. We will definitely come back.

I’m sad to give a poor rating to what I expected to be a sweet neighbourhood Cantonese restaurant. The food was ok, but for the price was very small portions and only fair quality. 1/2 crispy duck was quite dry and had almost no meat. Pancakes were raw and cold, not warm at all. Special rice had maybe a few shrimps and no vegi with a couple of pieces of dry chicken, was not special and double the price of egg fried rice. We saw a staff member arrive with boxes of frozen food from the shops and heard the “ding” of a microwave several times. Not confident that the food is made fresh. They are in construction so be careful when heading downstairs to the loo. You’ll have to navigate a cluttered narrow hallway filled with debris and building material. I’m optimistic that this critique will hopefully encourage this cute neighbourhood restaurant to make some much needed improvements.

The mix Dim Sum was great. I love it. This made me missed China Guangzhou home. Very nice Chinese Dim Sum. I recommend this restaurant. Pls go to try it. Very friendly service.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt for the benefit of other people and for the restaurant itself. I want to do so this time. The food was really good, but the service and very sad aspects just felt wrong. I just give some examples below. - we ordered soft drinks and vans were given to us - I had to ask for glasses - I asked for ice but was told the cans were already cold! - when first dim sum was delivered, we had to ask for sure plates as we were just left with the food and then had to ask for some soy sauce. - my son ordered a drink saying the same as mine but the server misunderstood and more food was delivered. I get mistakes can happen but at no point was my son (who arrived after us) asked if he wanted a drink of any kind. - every bit of service had to be asked for, no follow up checks on anything. - the restaurant still looks like it is being refurbed in places but I see that reviews say it was refurbed in January. - there was no soap in the toilets just a cleaning spray on the sink and no way to dry hands. This was a celebration meal meeting up with our son before a show so I didn’t want to make a scene. I hope that the owners read this and make the required changes so do see how they respond and visit when these things are corrected.

Lovely new restaurant with authentic staff and food. It's still being furbished, but already operational, and very clean. The food was delicious and served promptly. Generous portions. Service was amazingly friendly and efficient. We'll be back soon.

I booked this place as my Mum and I had wanted somewhere to go to on a rainy and muggy day. I was the first customer ever to make a booking on Open Table. The restaurant has only just opened and you could still smell the paint. Chinese New Year is looming and we both like dim sum which did not disappoint. Our waitress was charming.
