Located on Main Street in the heart of Smithtown, Chop Shop is one of the newest restaurants to arrive on the North Shore. The restaurant’s interior is accented with brick, hardwood flooring, large retro lamp fixtures, and a unique hand painted mural. Chop Shop is stylishly furnished with a professionally run bar.

Chop Shop is the perfect place for casual dining and special occasions, as well as corporate gatherings. Begin your dining experience with a drink selection from our extensive wine list, which offers a variety of great selections, or choose from our exclusive martini menu. Chop Shop’s menu specializes in a variety of sizzling steaks, fresh local seafood, exceptional pasta dishes, seasonal specials and delectable house made desserts.

Open for dinner, reservations are accepted for all size parties. Chop Shop also offers a function room, accommodating private gatherings for 6-20 people, available Monday through Sunday.

The food and service is always excellent, but last night the services was very slow. From the time we sat down until we paid the bill it was 2 hrs.

Food was ok, we had the short ribs. Mashed potatoes were not hot and I’ve had better short rib. The appetizer of Thai calamari was very good, spicy! Could be that I ordered the wrong entree. Place was nice but there’s so many restaurants to choose it will be a while before a return visit

Use to be one of my favorites but feel it dropped down a notch. The past 3 times I have been here my food was cold and my steaks was flavorless and food has been bland. My calamari was a little tough last night. The service is always excellent, bar drinks and selections are awesome, place is clean nice atmosphere. I will go back, but not on my favorite list for the cost.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant, perfect for a night out. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The attention to detail and the exceptional service truly set this place apart. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Mashed potatoes were very bland and porterhouse was not as seasoned as I would have liked but the Mac and cheese and ribeye were amazing. Great cocktails too and excellent service. Bathrooms also needed to be cleaned, not great in there.
